Restaurant only. Decor, atmosphere and service, excellent. Food was high quality but not extraordinarily good. Lucky to have this place as a 'local'.

Rarely have we eaten so well and the service was top and very friendly, we will be back.We couldn't rate the rooms because we were only here to eat.

Very friendly, attentive service in the restaurant :-)The autumn menu left nothing to be desired. Tastes great and is very attractively presented. It was my first and certainly not last visit to the King of Prussia. The dog was also welcome and was provided with water without being asked.

The last two or three times we ate here everything was great. Today, as expected, it was full on Easter. But sorry, if I've been running my business for so long, then I know what's going on on such days and prepare the location and, above all, the staffing accordingly.If a place is full, that's not a bad thing, quite the opposite. But when I eat for around 250 euros, I want to eat a little differently than when I visit an average restaurant. And the King of Prussia is actually not average.We waited 45 minutes until we were finally able to place our food order - only because at some point we took the initiative and signaled that we would like to order. Almost the same just not as long with the wine. We ordered a bottle of wine, the table was not set with glasses. Here too we signaled after about 15 - 20 minutes until the bottle of wine came along with the water. We would actually have liked to have had a little something to drink before the menu started. But then you just say to yourself, it's Easter. But no, I think to myself, because that can't be the case even though it's a public holiday if you run a place in this price range.We had ordered the "Easter menu", just with the thought that this could be well prepared, because our turn was later, around 2.45 p.m. The greeting from the kitchen was OK, we remembered the bread. The asparagus soup was fine, but the main course of lamb was bland in taste, the meat was pink but lukewarm and not exactly a highlight in terms of seasoning and taste. Sorry, but better go to a good Greek who is used to dealing with lamb. Or don't try two kinds of lamb, but rather one kind and do it right. Sorry, but unfortunately that was nothing. Unfortunately, the decoration around it alone cannot be decisive, even if they say, “the eye eats with it”. The dessert was good, but I think a bit of subtlety in the taste would also be good here, you notice that when you haven't eaten sugar for a few weeks and the ice cream was the most intense in taste, but also clearly the sweetest, almost too sweet for my taste. But – as always, a matter of taste.In short. We've eaten better at König von Preussen, and what annoys me a bit is that I/we were really looking forward to it beforehand, but then left more disappointed than satisfied.And what you can actually expect at such a price level is an attentive waitress who might ask after 15 minutes if she can bring you some water to drink while you're still reading the menu. And if the places in the house are all fully booked, then you usually know this before the guests all arrive, and perhaps add one more waitress to relax the situation. But if as a guest I have the feeling that the location is overloaded and a cozy and relaxed meal is not really possible today, then the owner of such a location should actually know that - or sense it.Or should I as a guest perhaps choose a day other than Easter? But could it be that in today's society we are surrounded by a hectic pace even on such holidays, just because we want to enjoy some fine food and a quiet get-together in an actually very good restaurant on this holiday?Sorry. But unfortunately I can't say it any other way, but the lamb as the main course today was unfortunately not worth the price. Where is the inventiveness of the young chefs? Where would you like to conjure up something that surprises in terms of taste and quality? There are so many tasty ingredients. And if our gastronomy doesn't experiment with these, where will fine cuisine go in the future?

I was there for dinner.I didn't stay overnight.Luckily the place was reserved! This Saturday all tables were occupied. There were probably also overnight guests there.I ate the Hubertu plate from the daily menu for 29 euros. I drank a 0.5 liter apple spritzer for 5 euros. The service staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The wait was a clear sign that the food was freshly prepared. The 2 pieces of meat were tender. The homemade spaetzle also tasted delicious. At the end I drank a very good espresso. I paid almost 40 euros for everything. For this service and the quality of the food, the price was right for me! I will definitely take the train there again.

To visit the Frauenalb monastery ruins, we and the family also stopped for coffee at the Landgasthof König von Preussen. The service was outstanding, the staff was very friendly and we got our wishes fulfilled to our complete satisfaction!

The fall menu was fantastic. Star-worthy!Likewise the service.I can't say anything about the rooms. We were just in the restaurant.Conclusion :Highly recommended.

The focus of the hotel restaurant seems to be mainly on the restaurant. The restaurant has excellent cuisine and good service and is surprisingly busy, even during the week.I find the hotel quite basic and not worth the money. The beds are extremely hard and made with waterproof moltons. I understand that from a hygiene point of view, but with every movement and turn it creaks enormously. The room was not cleaned and beds made daily. In the bathroom I missed simple things like a place to hang my towel and put my toiletry bag. At breakfast, after four nights, they still didn't know that I was traveling alone. The atmosphere was rather unpleasant, as if they are not used to guests staying there for several days.All in all, fine for a night, especially considering the restaurant. Not recommended for a longer stay in the Albtal.
