Terrible!We spontaneously wanted to stop there for coffee on our bike tour.The innkeeper came out, dressed in a grubby, greasy and torn shirt, and told us he wouldn't serve us. Nine guests at once were too many, he wouldn't be able to do that and we should go somewhere else. For example, there is a coffee up the street, they would definitely be happy there.The terrace looked unkempt and “old”.We wouldn't go there again.

This would be our third time there and certainly not the last time. The hospitality is great, the breakfast is delicious and the kids love the animals and the playground around the corner. The inn is a bit old, but the apartment is great with a brilliant view of the small "sea". If you're looking for relaxation and don't need first class, you're in good hands here. Until next time, we'll be happy to come back!

If you like the charm of the 90s and like musty smells, you've come to the right place. The garden and terrace are totally unkempt. Compared to the inn but 1a. I have never seen a guest room as cluttered and untidy as this. Take a tent and camp at the adjacent campsite.

Oldscool coffee and cake. Sit completely casually and comfortably on the terrace, look at Lake Plön, eat some beautiful home-baked food and let your mind wander. And then a nice chat with the innkeeper.That's all you need on a Sunday afternoon.

Although we live on the corner here, I and my partner decided to spend 2 days here. It was important to us to just have peace and quiet; luxury wasn't important when we were planning.When we got there we met an extremely nice and humorous host who was able to immediately convey a positive feeling. The room was absolutely fine, clean and had an excellent view.The interior was not new or modern, but rather a bit dated, which absolutely fit the charm of the guesthouse.On both evenings we had the opportunity to eat and drink comfortably on the terrace with a view of the lake.Although only a few dishes were offered, what we got was extremely tasty and prepared with a lot of love.All in all, really recommended if you don't value luxury and would rather be treated nicely and value peace and quiet.

Very nice place, delicious cakes, coffee and an amazing portion of waffles with hot cherries and cream at reasonable prices. Very nice gentleman as a waitress with a good tip for a nice trip back to Plön by bike, thank you for that!!!

We are always drawn to the view of the lake. We were warmly welcomed as motorcyclists as well as those traveling by car and bicycle. A quiet, friendly, clean hotel with 'old' charm. We always enjoy the rich breakfast with a view of the beautiful Plön Lake. Warmest regards Edda & Wilfried. We always like to come back!

My personal oasis of well-being! Perhaps the last place that is still as it was 30 years ago. Time has stopped here. Sitting on the terrace is nicer than at many Mediterranean locations, has peace and quiet, can have a chat with the unique host and eat one of the legendary cream puffs.Nobody looks askance here when you come in as a motorcyclist, I'll be on my way straight away, the smell of fresh cream puffs is in the air... Mr. Appel, I'm on my way!

The stars only refer to the fact that we couldn't eat there because there was no one except ONE person who did everything (obviously cooking and serving...). So the five of us were not accepted as guests because one (!) table was already occupied by 4 people. Otherwise everything was empty. It was about dinner on a Friday at 7pm in July...
