We were looking for somewhere to stay overnight and since we didn't like it in Sulzemoos (Free State), we went to Ampersee Camping. The reception was friendly, the place was nice and tidy with great sanitary facilities!!!The prices are relatively high, i.e. a pitch with 2 people plus a dog costs €39 for one night. Showers €1 for 4 minutes…. This should be included in the price for the night! Another thing to mention is the proximity to the motorway, which was very noisy. What a shame for such a place with a lake! Still recommended for transit!

We wanted to spend a long weekend here because we took part in an event in Munich. We would have liked to have been there Friday to Monday, but reservations are only made for 5 nights or more... So we booked Thursday to Tuesday. The places are very small, but sufficient. However, we also received larger ones than booked - for an additional charge.Since it started to rain again on Sunday and it was supposed to rain continuously until Tuesday, we decided to leave on Monday. Nevertheless, we had to pay for five nights because we had booked them. I've never experienced anything like this! In the high season I would still understand it, but there really wasn't much going on... You would expect a little more to be accommodated. Nobody can do anything about the weather.The site is relatively well maintained, but this may also be due to the fact that there are so many long-term campers there who keep their plots in order.So we probably won't go there again, there are definitely other places around Munich where you are welcome.

We were Thursday to Monday. Showering at 1 euro for 4 minutes is expensive in my opinion. Because it was raining we had to put a tarp underneath. However, the pitch was full of sharp and relatively large stones. The little meadow/lawn around it was not mowed and unkempt. The place is actually beautifully located on the lake. However, it is extremely loud due to the adjacent motorway.Only the restaurant is worth visiting. Food was very tasty and service was really friendly.We won't be coming back anymore.

We really had a great time in the not so big space. Very nice and courteous receptionist. Great wet rooms, coil corner, wonderful lake with a beer garden. The food was tasty and well served. It was a bit out of the way, but you could drive to the P.u.R at the train station in Olching and from there to Munich or go shopping in the arcades in Pasing. But it doesn't get any better than the MVG.

The negative reviews seem to be justified. Here, on the direct way to the office, you are immediately told what you would have lost here. I understand that you don't want strangers on the pitch, but it's not possible to yell at curious people before they even get to the office.Anyone who makes such a first impression usually doesn't treat guests any better. So it's best to steer clear here.You can do without such guests. But guests should also avoid such hosts. There are plenty of alternatives in the region.

I felt comfortable at this campsite. The entire complex is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are clean and I was warmly welcomed upon arrival. I also didn't find the background noise to be overly disturbing and it didn't affect my quality of sleep. I think it's worth mentioning because I'm a very light sleeper. I would come back and recommend the place to others.

Nice campsite located on a swimming lake. grassy and fairly shaded pitches. spotless bathrooms. shower 1 euro open after 5pm. washing machine 3 euros, dryer 4 euros. convenient for visiting Dachau and Munich. Close to the highway.

Ok, close to the highway but nothing a pair of earplugs can't handle.Furthermore, fantastic sanitary facilities and friendly and helpful people. The restaurant at the campsite serves good food and is certainly not too expensive.Too bad for the people who expect golden bathrooms for €10/night, but I will definitely come back here when I'm in the area.

The campsite is in order, too bad showering for 1 euro is clean and tidy.We wanted to stay another day but then we had to move because someone had made a reservation. It's a shame when we wanted to make a reservation, it wasn't possible, so it was a strange turn of events.

Well-functioning transit campsite on a small swimming pool, which is wonderful to dive into at the end of a travel day. On the highway, which in itself also gives a quiet sonorous sound during the day. In any case, we slept well.The sanitary facilities are very neat and clean.Well located for Dachau and Munich, if you want to visit them.The campsite only accepts cash payments! Don't forget to pay with your debit card in advance, otherwise you will have to drive again to get cash.

Worst possible camping I've ever been. Places way too small, very unfriendly service, would NOT recommend at all. We arrived before closure barrier and asked beforehand by mail if we could stay for one night and pay for our stay in the morning (since the website told us you cannot book for one night in advance). Never got an answer back. Owner gave us a tight spot (grumpy) and told us check-in was closed, so we set up camp in the dark and rain. Never once did he communicate with us we had to pay by cash. In the morning the owners blocked our way out, as if we were criminals trying to escape. When we wanted to leave after paying (owner gave us a poorly drawn map to an ATM, so we lost a lot of travelling time there), and we drove over the campingsite to turn (since places were way too cramped to turn on spot), they almost killed us with their stare. Poor communication and no empathy whatsoever. I'm sorry, but I cannot give more stars because I feel our family was treated as dirt and scum. For anyone who wants to know: don't arrive after 20:00, because reception check-in is mandatory and passing through is not possible. (This information was not available on their website)

Campsite has friendly staff and clean toilets and shower rooms. Is near Munich. There is a lake that is ideal for swimming. Unfortunately it's close to the highway so it's a bit noisy depending on your location.

We spontaneously drove to Lake Ampersee and even got a place for our motorhome. Electricity and water are available. Showers, toilets, washing machines and dryers are also available. You can order fresh bread rolls for the next day at reception. Payment is made upon departure. We paid €42.50 for one night for three people. There is also a restaurant on site, the food was very tasty. The lake at the campsite, which is only for campers, is also perfect. You can only hear the highway during the day. It's wonderfully quiet at night.
