The hotel exceeded my expectations! It is modern and maritime furnished with great attention to detail!The staff is super friendly and attentive.What should be highlighted is the great shepherd's wagon sauna with an adjoining beautiful relaxation room - everything included for hotel guests.There is also a large free parking lot behind the house!

We spent four wonderful days at Hotel Waastwinj. Afterwards we spent a few more days in Upstalsboom on the south beach. And even though the Upstaalsboom charges twice the price for an overnight stay, we couldn't say that we felt less well looked after at the Waastwinj. The hotel is very well located to reach the nearby Utersum beach on foot. Also an ideal starting point for bike tours on the island. We would particularly like to highlight the excellent breakfast and the extremely friendly service from Makis, who has only been living on the island far from his native Greece for a few months. Makis is an expert and interprets the breakfast service in a very friendly way.

The hotel is beautifully located in Utersum and just a few minutes' walk from the beach.The family-run hotel with the very nice and friendly owners and the also very nice and friendly staff is highly recommended in all respects!!!

A great family-run hotel. The rooms are large, well furnished and clean. The staff is great, very friendly and authentic. There is parking behind the hotel. The restaurant cuisine is also really good. I can only recommend it and would be happy to come back.

We wanted to reserve a table in the restaurant for Good Friday. There's only one tape on the phone. Reservation by email is offered. We were there three times. The reception was also not occupied at the specified times. We never received a reply to our email.

Really nice, modern rooms. The sauna in the trailer is also special. What we didn't like at all was the unpleasant surprise and the way the following matter was dealt with. We had booked half board, but when we arrived on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. we were confronted with the fact that, exceptionally, there would be no food that evening. No apology and no drink on the house either! It took several phone calls to find a table in the restaurant on the island on a Saturday evening. So the start of the vacation was clouded. We would have liked the situation to be handled differently as hosts.

We spent 9 days here and really enjoyed it. Staff and boss very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are comfortably furnished and clean. We had excellent meals every day in the Hennings restaurant. Go there and have a good time like we did.

We spent 5 wonderful days on Föhr, which was not least due to the great hotel and the nice host. Great large room, a large bathroom with, finally, lots of storage space. Very, very clean and very tastefully and lovingly furnished. We also had a very nice little terrace. The breakfast that was served at the table was fresh and very tasty. The food in the restaurant in the evening was very varied, tasty, plentiful and lovingly prepared. We would like to give one more star and will definitely come back again!! THANKS
