The beds are really just these typical sports mattresses placed on wood and on the first night we had no heating. The people are very nice and the location is very good. What still bothered me was that there was no WiFi in the rooms, but oh well.

In itself a very nice classicYouth hostel. Nice staff and a pleasant climate. Amsich great.But if you don't show up to eat until around 8:15 a.m., most of the food is gone or empty.Like with us the rolls, which is most important.

It was perfect days in this youth hostel. The rooms, toilets, toilet were very clean. The breakfast was rich. There was table tennis, games room with good games. Drinks and snack machine. What we liked best was the shady terrace with the wild bird park. The location is centrally located. Now to the staff. The entire crew from cleaning, kitchen and reception were courteous and helpful. Very understanding. There was a good working atmosphere there. The boss is committed and friendly. We'll definitely come back again.

A very nice youth hostel. I discovered them by chance in Bautzen yesterday. I only saw it from the outside. That was quite impressive.

We were in the youth hostel from July 29th to August 2nd, 2024 with 34 children and 8 carers. We were warmly welcomed and looked after. Everyone from the kitchen staff, reception and cleaning staff were very nice.The food was great and everyone enjoyed it. There was something for everyone. The rooms are functionally furnished.It was a great week with you.The handball children and supervisors of SV Eintracht Gommern say thank you again for the great week

We went on a school trip with our class and stayed at the youth hostel for a total of three days.We received a very friendly welcome and all the children had a lot of fun.The youth hostel is very clean, well-kept and beautifully located in the old town of Bautzen.There are areas to relax and sit comfortably together.Lots of space in the rooms, which are neat and functional.The food was very rich and, above all, healthy.Here too, almost all of our wishes were fulfilled.All the staff there are so friendly and concerned about the well-being of the children!There should be ten stars for that!!!Youth hostel with heart!!!Thank you dear team

The entire youth hostel staff (reception, kitchen, cleaning) was friendly, flexible and helpful at all times. The food was delicious, fresh and there were vegan alternatives. The location of the youth hostel is perfect for trips into the city.

The two of us were here on a pilgrimage in May. Due to our late arrival, we were able to collect our key from the key safe without any problems. The warmly designed rooms immediately gave us a pleasant feeling.The beds (double bunk) were just right.Breakfast is scheduled for 8 a.m., but we were kind enough to be able to go to the dining room earlier and therefore continue our pilgrimage early. Special thanks for that.Highly recommended for all ages. Also suitable for bikers.Very friendly staff. Very great atmosphere. Wonderful building with outdoor facilities.

Our recent stay at the youth hostel in Bautzen was nothing short of magical, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the staff. From the moment we checked in it was obvious that this hostel goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and cared for. What really made our experience memorable was the way the staff celebrated my daughter's birthday. When they found out it was their special day, they surprised her with a homemade cake and surrounded by congratulations from all the staff. It was a heartwarming gesture that brought tears of joy to my daughter's eyes and filled our hearts with gratitude. But the kindness didn't stop. During our stay, the staff continued to spoil my daughter with attention and gifts, making her the most special guest in the hostel. Aside from the birthday celebrations, the hostel itself exceeded our expectations in every way. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was good and welcoming. The common areas offered plenty of space to relax and meet other travelers from around the world. In summary, our experience at the youth hostel in Bautzen was nothing short of exceptional. The kindness and generosity of the staff made my daughter's birthday truly memorable and we left with precious memories that will last a lifetime. We had a great time on New Year's Eve. The team came up with a great program and treated us to lots of different dishes. I wouldn't have expected this from a youth hostel. A really great conclusion was the New Year's brunch, where they offered even more delicacies.The team was super helpful and nice. Gladly again. Sure, WiFi is simply difficult within the thick walls. But it also worked well without it.

We were guests in this pretty little JH at the weekend. We were greeted in a very friendly manner, despite the fact that we were there half an hour before check-in, and we were immediately shown the JH and our room. Fortunately, we were very lucky to have our own bathroom, which is unfortunately a small negative point, but everything else was great. Very clean, lovingly decorated. Unfortunately there is no parking lot, but the Schützenplatz is barely a 10-minute walk away and is free. The old town is just a stone's throw away, so it's great here too👍Breakfast was also nicely prepared and tasted good, so we were very satisfied!!!!PS.: And to everyone who always complains and complains, these are youth hostels and not 5 star hotels, although they can learn something from the youth hostel staff in terms of friendliness and warmth!!!Greetings to the Kuhn family and to you and your families a peaceful and contemplative Christmas 🎅🎄🎁❄️⛄

We were there as a family with two 9 year old kids in the fall. We almost didn't find the JH at first because a sign had faded so much that it was no longer a clue. If you come from the other side there is no sign. And yes, the navigation system was on. It was still a bit confusing. There is no parking on site. Doesn't bother us with older kids... The welcome was warm, the check-in time was just a little late (5 p.m.).Very winding JH with lots of doors that slam shut loudly in the evenings and at night, but the MA keep emphasizing that you are in a tower... Which then brings with it this type of construction.We had booked the family break with breakfast. Luckily the bathroom/toilet was in the hallway. The room had bunk beds, a seating area with a stool and a sink (which was an advantage with kids). Unfortunately, we hit the jackpot and moved into a room facing the cobbled street. It was terribly loud and rattled all evening and morning. As activities we only use the table tennis room and the great outdoor terrace with seating. We had great weather and it was very comfortable there. The TT room is loveless, not comfortable, doesn't invite you to linger - it certainly shouldn't be since it's so busy down there. There was still a mini games room and a TV room at the end of the century. .. Not central, not inviting. The breakfast is particularly noteworthy. Very tasty, rich and a bit of everything.We don't think it's nice to have 1 hour to eat breakfast for all guests. It builds up, there is little space and it builds up frustration for everyone involved. The environment outside the JH is great. The location central. Didn't use a car for 2 days and got around well on site. There is no WiFi in all rooms.
