Nice and very fast service. Had a considerable portion of perfectly souffled and buttery veal schnitzel for clearly not enough money. As a local, I would become a regular.

I don't even know where to start. We have known the Freihof for years and have always been 100% impressed by the ambience, service and quality of the food. Now we wanted to test it out with the new tenant and what can I say. Nothing is the same as before. In the winter garden, which used to be a dignified dining room, pure simplicity reigns and if you want to assert yourself while eating against the bawling guests who are probably regulars playing cards and dice, you have to be in good spirits. Just in the time we waited for our food, several other guests left straight away. The food was absolutely average, rather worse. I don't want to go into more detail. It's a shame, we won't be coming back. You can get better and cheaper food elsewhere

The rooms seem to have been last renovated in the 90s.With carpet of the same age, it smells accordingly. The floor and furnishings need to be replaced urgently. It would be OK for 60 euros to sleep, but paying almost 100 euros for that is far too much. The breakfast, which is priced as “very good”, is brazen.Scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon? Doesn't exist.A type of cheese, a type of roll and some salami. There wasn't even chocolate cream. At least there was a pudding with a decorative mint leaf. Unfortunately there was mold on it (picture attached)! The worst thing, however, is the “juice”.This is colored sugar water. So if you have to save on it, you might as well leave it alone! If I had known beforehand, I would have just gone to the bakery next door.At least the lady who welcomed us was friendly.Accordingly, when checking out, no one asked "whether everything was OK". They probably already know the answer.Luckily we were only there for one night.
