On November 3rd, 2024 we wanted to do something special and reserved a table for lunch at Adler. When we arrived, no table was reserved or set. We were sent to a room and were allowed to sit wherever we wanted or there was space. Everything looked dingy, tablecloths were stained, seats were dirty, the flowers on the table were in a glass vase with cloudy water and some were moldy. You could smell it too.After ordering the food, the table was set, including a small plate with a knife. We first had to ask for bread with the salad we ordered. When we were finished, everything was cleared away, including the small, unused plate. When I asked what it was for, we were told it was for the spread!? We didn't get that. The main course was really very tasty, beautifully presented and recommended.Unfortunately service was very bad!!! With these higher prices you should be able to expect more.Very very disappointing!!! No more.

We spent three nights in the hotel and tried to make the best of it despite the circumstances. Our room was cute and had a nice view. Unfortunately, the service in the lobby and in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. First our massages weren't reserved, and then we weren't told they were being rescheduled for the second day - even though we had already planned an excursion that day. There were also difficulties in the restaurant: one evening our booked dinner menu was forgotten, and the next evening after the first course we had to wait an hour for the next meal, only to have courses 3 and 2 served in the reverse order.In addition, no one at the lobby knew about the in-house solarium or that you needed tokens there, which you can only get at the reception.The wellness area is solid, but nothing special - two saunas and a steam bath are simply not enough for sauna lovers. Overall, the price-performance ratio was unfortunately not right here.

Quiet and green location. Nice spa, comfortable rooms. It’s a fantastic place for a tranquil retreat, especially if you’re looking to disconnect and recharge.However, the check-out experience (lady receptionist was ignorant to the point of being rude) fell short of expectations. Addressing this would make the experience even more enjoyable.

A very nice hotel, great wellness area with many relaxation areas, a beautifully landscaped lawn in summer. The food in the hotel was excellent. There is one minus point for the service: the service staff lack an overview, you wait a long time until you are served, the waiter has no plan when it comes to the wine list and one evening we sat for a good 2.5 hours until we had all the courses on the menu.

We have been visiting the Adler regularly for around 15 years, sometimes with our entire family. This was probably the last time we were there after the sale to this Lohbeck group. The Adler is now a soulless hotel, copyable and devoid of any charm. Of course the location is still great, the rooms are large and generally clean. Unfortunately, the coffee and cake advertised on the homepage is only available in the wellness bistro and the hiker passing by has to sit with the wellness people in bathrobes with overcoats on their hiking boots.... The a la carte meal in the evening was simply bad -- I think there is a massive saving in qualified personnel here.A big compliment: The service people in the evening did their best to ensure smooth service. Thanks for that!The prices correspond to a 4 star superior hotel - unfortunately the quality does not.

The employees are not sufficiently informed about the opening times of the bistro and the wellness area (the notices have not been updated after a year and the reception sends people and their luggage to the wrong floor. The most important point for the reduction to 2 stars: the restaurant. 15min Waiting for an espresso that you ordered is definitely too long (and the restaurant wasn't even half full) and the prices are totally exorbitant: a potato röstie the size of a coffee saucer: not hot (the plate was hotter), contrary to the menu, not with sheep's cheese Baked (only cubes) and then €23!!! A portion of cheese spaetzle (in cheese sauce with cauliflower and broccoli) for €20!! Veal schnitzel with side dishes €35!! It's better to go a few kilometers to Halbmeil or go to the Pflug in the neighboring town. Lunch in the wellness bistro has also become worse: the same salads and vegetable soup every day. The selection of cakes is the same every day. On the first visit a year ago there were changing snacks for lunch and different cakes every day.Conclusion now: no more visits to the Adler! The sale to the hotel chain is unfortunately making itself felt and I have to agree with the increasing number of negative reviews.

We did day spa here for a day. From other facilities we are used to the bathing bag with bathrobe and towels being handed out directly at reception. Here we were accompanied by a young man, first to a cupboard, where the bathrobes were handed to us. Then he made us wait outside the changing room to get the bag. The towels were already pretty tattered. The sauna area is very nicely done, but unfortunately there are no loungers there. Swimming pool is a bit older, but okay. We were very disappointed with the lunch buffet in the bistro. 6 different salads, a soup, rolls and fruit. Only plastic cups were available for the water. There was no butter or anything like that for the bun. The cake was delicious. We definitely won't be coming here again as you can get much better day spa offers for €69.

The hotel is located in a quiet valley.The facilities and service are great. The breakfast offers everything your heart desires. We only had to wait over an hour at the main entrance for dinner. It wasn't just us. The wellness area is spacious and clean.We will happily book here again.
