A large group of us stopped there after a hike (with a reservation). There is still solid Odenwald cuisine with regional products (we particularly liked the meat from our own farming and slaughtering), but also modern accents in the food. The portions are good enough to satisfy your hunger and everything was very tasty. The beef wasn't that bad, the goulash was nice and hard and well seasoned, the schnitzels (finally not molded schnitzels) were baked perfectly. We were all very satisfied and will definitely be happy to come here again in the future. We were a bit annoyed that we hadn't found out about accommodation options beforehand, because then the evening could have been longer. But we can still do that...

Stopped for refreshment on a hike from Sensbacher Höhe, via Bullau and the Nibelungenweg to Hetzbach.Enjoyed an excellent rump steak from Bullauer Weiderind.Perfect medium rare!!!Very good menu!

Very, very nice restaurant, the food was very tasty and nicely prepared.The service was remarkably friendly and accommodating. Always up for a friendly chat, even the boss isn't above having a chat if time allows.A very friendly young man 😊Everything was done right, keep it up.I'll definitely be back💋

I've been staying at Pension Schumbert for 15-16 days for years and I have to say that I'm always looking forward to spending the night there and having a nice meal. The innkeepers are always nice and helpful with questions and the kitchen has great food offer. I'm already looking forward to July when I'll see the family again

We were able to refresh ourselves here on a bike tour with drinks outside of opening hours, which was great. Charging facility for e-bikes available.

The service could be a little friendlier.My rump steak was perfect and the portion was quite large.The schnitzels in “normal operation” could be a little larger for men. 😬

We had dinner in the cute beer garden Unter den Linden. Some play equipment is available for the children. The garden is quiet and idyllic in a meadow with fruit trees. Nice service and very good selection of food.

According to the internet it was very good food but in reality it was a big letdown. The soup was carelessly prepared, the marrow dumplings were from a can and disgusting. The salad except for the green salad was all from a can. The same canned vegetables on the paprika schnitzel. The beer garden is positive, everything is nice and shady and cool and the service was very nice. So I can't recommend the restaurant any more

Had dinner with the family this evening. Everyone was very satisfied. Nice atmosphere, food was delicious, service was very friendly. Price-wise, it’s also completely okay. Can be highly recommended.

Small guesthouse with very good prices. Single room with breakfast for 37 euros. Rooms have the charm of the 80s but are very clean and completely okay. 1 glass of wine 3.70, where else can you get that. Food was good. The rump steak with salad, fried potatoes (we still have to practice a bit here) and onions for 21.90 euros. Were at least 400 grams and well fried and tender. In summer there is also a summer garden to sit outside.
