We love Thuringia and its outstanding nature. The Hotel am Burgholz is perfect for this because it is right in the middle! But that's not all, because this beautiful hotel offers everything you need to feel completely comfortable. Starting with the reception staff, who greet you very friendly, to the bright, tastefully furnished room with super comfortable beds, to the perfect breakfast, which definitely leaves nothing to be desired. The staff at the breakfast buffet are very attentive, and if something is running low, they quickly refill it so that everything is always available.We were more than satisfied with our stay and will visit your beautiful hotel again.Thank you very much for the beautiful days.

I stayed at the hotel during my business trip in the region. Reception, rooms and staff were great, as was the food. I was also able to enjoy the sauna and pool and you can go hiking directly from the hotel. I can only recommend it!

I spent several days in the hotel for a family celebration. The welcome was very warm, the staff were always helpful and friendly. The breakfast was perfect. Even though the hotel was fully occupied, everything was there and was always replenished quickly. I've experienced it differently too. The coffee machine fulfills all wishes and is easy to use for all ages. I would come back at any time. The hotel is also recommended for families.

There is a truth on the website and also a truth on the groundI was a guest at this hotel with a friend.The staff and owners should be aware of how noisy the whole building is.I'm wondering how rooms can be rented that are between reception and the elevator without any acoustic measures being taken towards the hallway. It's really too loud, way too loud. Charging guests for these rooms is an absolute disgrace.We ended our stay completely exhausted. Three days at the Burgholz Hotel were meant to be relaxing for me and my girlfriend, reading, relaxing and walking in the forest.This is very difficult with such noise and the resulting lack of sleep.Everywhere you look it says “First class to feel good”But then… let’s let the pictures do the talkingI don't have to comment on the photos of the bathroom or shower.(By the way, the radiators are set so that they heat energy efficiently; they start at 18 degrees. It's just stupid if the towels on the radiator intended for this purpose remain soaking wet.)An empty cupboard in which the minibar was placed,the ceiling lighting in the room,a room facing a restaurant, with desks and a bookshelf, (What should that be and why not make something nice out of it? For example, a nice office that you can book if you have to work, or a place to retreat to read)ancient furniture with a glass facade(this could easily become one of the most beautiful places in the entire hotel),the same and unnecessary furniture left in the hallways,and then there are sheets stuck on doors that threaten to report violations in writing, or are written in red with lots of exclamation marks. (We don't seem to know how to use exclamation marks in writing here).All of this is the complete spectrum of lovelessness and the accent hotel obviously stands for “accentually renovated”.Feeling good nilWhen we were at the reception, a lady asked for a towel for the sauna. First Class Answer: “There are no more.”Finally, the positive things.Nobody was rude.The outdoor areas are very well maintained, certainly not easy to manage on this scale.The restaurant is the first step in the right direction in terms of facilities.

Single room. Bed 90 cm. Too small for a tall man. Rooms are a bit old. At the lower parking lot there is only one path with stairs. Let the wheelchair get out at the top.Food and breakfast good.

The most important thing: I slept very well.Overall, a solid hotel that served as a former GDR SED/FDGB cadre factory and is kept in good condition. It only has a few weaknesses, but I would like to point out one thing: the bed is too short for tall people > 1.90m because it is right in the corner and touches the heater.You can add dinner as an option, but it was far too expensive for me at a flat rate of €33, there is “only” a buffet.

The area around the hotel is very beautiful. That was it already.starting with the room, which is so noisy that you can hear the room neighbors breeding the whole 3 nights.We were laughed at by the chubby hotel manager to whom we tried to explain the problem and almost said that we shouldn't be so squeamish and complain about something like that. We wanted to treat ourselves to a few days off, it was great.Then for breakfast the selection is very limited, 3 types of sausage which were so cold, the eggs ice cold if I want to eat eggs then warm.No recommendation for this hotel, especially not because of the hotel manager, whose name we forgot, rude and unhelpful.Only Tabarz and the rest of the surrounding area are worth the trip
