Clear recommendation! The house and the rooms have a special charm. The operator is an extremely loving person and helps her guests wherever she can. The hotel is in a quiet and idyllic location, and both the North Sea and the city center are easy to reach by bike and car. The breakfast buffet is rich and varied, but there is a small minus point for the spread options (honey, jams, etc.) in small plastic packaging. (Environmental!) Overall: Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We can only praise the house. Very clean rooms, furnished with nostalgic furniture, very friendly welcome, nice service and delicious breakfast. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but by bike we were in nearby Meldorf, a really nice little town, in 15 minutes. The North Sea with its swimming area and Büsum can be reached by bike on well-developed cycle paths or paths with little traffic. We felt very comfortable in the hotel.

Family-run hotel with breakfast service. We love coming here and will soon celebrate every festival or holiday here and have breakfast. 1a quality, super nice team and above all a really warm and accommodating boss. Very, very nice hotel and lovely staff! We accommodated our wedding guests there and also spent two days ourselves. It was well maintained and very clean. The decor exuded real charm and the breakfast was varied and fresh. One of our employees even made a little something for my husband and I for our wedding! Really very warm and accommodating. We would come again and again!

The hotel is somewhat remote.My room was 100% perfect, only the bathroom was a bit small.But I also have a bit more body 😉The breakfast is very rich and fresh.

I was on a bike tour and only came across the hotel because of a sign in Meldorf.The extremely helpful and friendly manager gave me the last available room.Breakfast was plentiful and good.Can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience.

Not recommended for allergy sufferers/asthma sufferers.The room furnishings caused massive breathing difficulties on the first night. The mold growth on the bathroom windows may also have been responsible for this, which unfortunately was only discovered towards the end of the stay of several days.Unfortunately there is no place to stay outside of the guest rooms, only for smokers. Unfortunately, they used a separate “smoking room” on the ground floor so extensively that the smoke was not only noticeable when entering the house, but even drifted into the rooms under the closed doors of the guest rooms on the first floor and led to an extreme odor nuisance - all in one Non-smoking room!The breakfast could only be rated as below average for the first few days. Simple baked rolls, little toppings, jam and honey in plastic packaging (not very contemporary). Even unsolicited fried eggs couldn't change much.An extensive breakfast buffet was only served on weekends, when there was an additional breakfast visit.During our stay for a celebration, other of our guests were also staying in Dithmarscher Bay. Unfortunately, some of them were faced with closed doors when they arrived. There was no one there who was informed about the arrival and could give out keys. Only a follow-up phone call some time later could help.Overall, neither we nor the other guests who stayed there on our recommendation felt very welcome or well treated.By the way, pets (dogs) are not welcome there.We will definitely not stay in this house again.

The hotel management didn't allow us to stay in the restaurant after checking out. I had to put up with a lonely place at the entrance, where it was freezing cold due to the constant opening of the entrance door. There was also a pile of dirty laundry next to me, which didn't exactly improve the atmosphere. The hotel management doesn't seem like they value or want to keep their guests.If the service from the hotel management isn't too important to you, the hotel is relatively average with acceptable rooms and nice room staff.

Great place. Clean, cheap and out of the way. It is worth mentioning the sheep bleating on a nearby farm, but it was quiet and lulled you to sleep more than disturbed you :)
