Our weekend at the Kapellenhöhe country estate was unforgettable. We were personally treated to delicious meals by the boss, Mr Kapelle, enjoyed a relaxing evening of fun with an idyllic view of the beautiful landscape and learned interesting knowledge about the chocolate craft. We are already looking forward to the next time we are guests at Kapellenhöhe.

A wonderful place with soooo delicious things that are served with joy. I feel comfortable here and can also express special wishes, such as sitting on the terrace in moderate weather, as I was allowed to do yesterday with seat cushions, like a queen, thank you very much. I've been coming here to eat, drink and enjoy for years and I feel completely at home. The only thing missing from my experience is the rooms. Here quality is combined with HEART, a traditional house at its finest and most LOVING.

Rustic inn with a great view of the Steinhuder Meer from a hill. We used it as a starting point for our bike tour around the Steinhuder Meer. Great to enjoy a beer from the wooden terrace at the end of the tour and look back at the day and the sea. The rooms are fine, the service is friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed antipasti in the evening and a delicious breakfast in the morning before cycling.

The ambience is great, unfortunately the evening on the festive weekend was too hot, you didn't really feel in the mood to enjoy the buffet. It was okay so far, but I think the price for the buffet was a bit too high (Starters/salads could have been of higher quality), but the desserts were great. But the location up there is simply beautiful and you can ignore that 😉

If I could, I would give zero stars. We ordered a “three course menu” for a family celebration. The food was absolutely inedible!!! The “buffet” with antipasti was loveless and subterranean. The so-called “menu” doesn’t deserve the name. The starter soup had no definable taste. The main course of fish was probably somehow edible, and a bowl of pasta and indefinable mush with carrots, couscous and pasta was served. The supposed pork tenderloin was a tough absolutely inedible piece of (presumably thawed) tough piece of meat, I couldn't eat any of it. For dessert there was a scoop of ice cream rolled in cocoa powder - you can't go wrong with that.Maybe the restaurant used to be very good - now I can only strongly advise against it - it was the most terrible food I have ever eaten in my life. And the whole thing was super expensive...Regarding the restaurant operator's comment: we could certainly have done that, but this was not appropriate given the occasion (funeral ceremony and relatives who had traveled specially). Understandably, no one wanted to make a big complaint. You can't seriously think that the "food" was somehow edible...

You don't really need any more words.The view from the rooms is magnificent in all directions.Hospitality & service on top.Breakfast buffet, as well as a winery platter in the evening, are beautifully presented and have a huge selection (and so delicious)!Drinks and snacks in the wellness area were lovingly draped.Employees/staff incredibly attentive and strive to make the vacation unforgettable.It was wonderful to be a guest at Kapellenhöhe.Thanks!!!

Dear hosts of Kapellehöhe! I am so impressed and grateful for the wonderful hours in her very special home. We had a room with a view of the Steinhuder Meer and were royally pampered. From the welcome drink to the dinner we were served in the sauna, from the selection of fine chocolates and wines to the hospitality and the beautiful ambience with loving details - everything was simply magical! Heart and individuality await you here.We were guests in Haus Kapelle for two nights. Anyone who books here will not be checking into a hotel, but will be warmly welcomed by the Kapelle family.There is everything you need in the room, the bed was a dream in which we both slept well.We can particularly highlight the service. Everyone is very open, friendly and has their hearts in the right place.In addition to the hotel, there is a small chocolate factory whose special features you should definitely try.Absolute recommendation from us!
