We have now spent a long weekend in the Sehestedt holiday village in Haus Seehund and would like to share some feedback or our experience. When we arrived, a “construction site” awaited us. On every corner there was building, digging, half-finished houses stood around, the “street” was a disaster.Potholes upon potholes, just mud. If we had come with one of our sportier cars, we would not have been able to spend our vacation there because in our case this road would have been impassable. When we arrived at the holiday home, we were greeted by a chic, modern and comfortably furnished house. Everything you needed was there. Even pasta, coffee, spices, flour, etc. were available in the kitchen. The house itself smelled like a furniture store, a look at the guest book and we saw that people had only vacationed in this holiday home 4-5 times before us. We were all the more surprised when we saw that the shower curtain was moldy and a chair was broken. The bed in the parents' bedroom was so uncomfortable, as you could feel the wiring in the mattress with every movement and the bed creaked, that we decided to sleep in the smaller box spring bed in the children's room.Pillows seemed ancient or improperly washed, a big lump of wool.Upon closer inspection, the house itself looked like a house that had been pulled up quickly and easily. The joints in the bathroom were unclean, there were a lot of bumps on the walls, some of them large, and the wallpapering was only sparse - you could see the transitions or the wallpaper was sometimes “in crisis”.The electric heaters were turned off early in the evening, so we had to freeze on the second evening because we also had no more firewood. On the first morning we wanted to have a relaxed coffee on the terrace, but unfortunately that wasn't possible because there was digging (?) in the near distance, there was hammering in the next corner, there was shoveling somewhere else and loud conversation. In addition, all we saw in front of our terrace was wasteland, construction sites and a small, rumpled section of lawn.In the evening we wanted to go for a walk with our dog, which was almost impossible for us because there was no light anywhere, no lanterns. The floor was absolutely muddy and slippery, so even our dog kept slipping. You have to drive 20 minutes to the nearest supermarket, which is a bit stupid that there is no small kiosk or corner shop in such a large holiday resort.Bringing a dog is almost not recommended, as there is nowhere nearby to go to the beach or the dike with your dog.Vacation with children? There is no playground or anything similar nearby. In the garden there was only a careless area of sand and a few shovels. Conclusion:The house itself was stylishly furnished and it was very comfortable to sit on the sofa in front of the fireplace in the evenings. But too expensive for this system in its current condition! It wasn't worth the money. 279€ for 2 days… unfortunately you can get better offers elsewhere. If this facility were to be finished at some point, there would definitely be a lot of potential, but at the moment we can only advise against going on vacation there. And since, according to the reviews below, construction has been going on for 9 years, this holiday village will probably never be finished...It wasn't even mentioned that there are construction sites everywhere or that the paths and streets are bad and unlit. Unfortunately, you couldn't see anything in the pictures or Google Maps beforehand. Everything there seemed like a small holiday village and then you get caught off guard with something like that.Communication with the landlord was also not great.I'm sorry, but we won't be coming back again.
