Mr. Döbelt and his partner are very nice innkeepers who are always helpful. Both breakfast and dinner were extremely tasty. You can take a packet of sandwiches with you in the morning and there are plenty of home-cooked meals in the evening. This also made the Diemelsteig a great experience for us.We'd love to come back.

Very nice hospitality, we had 3 nights with breakfast and dinner at a sensational price. All wishes were fulfilled after consultation. The pick-up and delivery service to the hiking spots worked great. There's nothing to complain about here. Thank you.

Home-style, simple rooms at a good price. Great breakfast. You can take provisions for the hike with you. Bags for this are available. Delicious dinner. Very warm innkeeper.

Cheap and clean. The breakfast was amazing, everything was there. It's all a bit older, but it also has its charm. The landlord took great care of us. The internet reception there is a disaster but there is WiFi throughout the house. You have to warn about the green one, but try it. The house is located directly on the Diemelsteig, which we walked.We felt comfortable.

Super nice host with a big heart and big portions for everyone. Vegetable schnitzel is also available for vegetarians. Went there for dinner with 11 people and everyone was happy.

We have now booked the Diemelsteig package for the third time. Super dear innkeeper, delicious home cooking and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired…. The overall package with drop-off and pick-up service is simply unbeatable! Stress-free and relaxing hiking in fantastic surroundings! It couldn't be better!!!

We felt very comfortable at the Gasthaus Döbelt. There is good home cooking to eat and in the morning you can pack a packed lunch for the day at breakfast. If you hike on the Diemelsteig, the innkeeper offers transport to the respective starting point or from the stage destination back to the inn. This means you can easily hike the trail without luggage. If you like, you can sit down with other guests in the restaurant area in the evening, creating a nice community among hikers. You can't complain about the price either. The time in the Sauerland was very relaxing and grounding due to the peace and nature. I would go there again at any time.

We are there from August 17th to 20th. Hiked the Diemelsteig in 4 stages and booked the package at the Gasthaus Döbelt. Everything was excellent, the pick-up and delivery service, the wonderful meal in the evening, the peace and quiet...particularly worth mentioning was the great breakfast, where you can also put together your own backpack provisions for the day. When you sit together in the evening, you get a hut atmosphere. Completely successful!

Double room booked by telephone as part of the Diemelsteig hike. Called the day before with a query. The host then couldn't even remember making a reservation. Then at some point he did, but he said he only had a single room and then it would be over. No excuse. The hike could therefore not be carried out as long as planned. One star is one more too many.
