We were at the Meisenheimer Hof for an event, which was a great option. The hotel comprises a building complex with a hotel in several buildings, a star restaurant, a wine bar/distillery, a café and much more. The rooms are individually and tastefully furnished. The service is courteous and very attentive, we found breakfast in the courtyard to be very pleasant, thank you very much for that.We would have liked air conditioning and a refrigerator in the room. The beds are cuddly comfortable and literally hug you. Overall, we found the overnight price per person to be too high, but that certainly depends on your personal priorities.Meisenheim is located in beautiful Rhineland-Palatinate and is very far from the beaten track, which is something you should know if you are staying for a long time and also if you arrive by public transport. Anyone who likes it quiet is in good hands here. A visit to the brewery is recommended.Overall, the main building is designed in the style of the old cinema - unfortunately Google doesn't allow me to take any pictures because the furnishings (an old film camera, an entry stand and a row of seats) are somehow against the guidelines, which is a shame.

We enjoyed our third stay in this absolute gem as much as before. The local kitchen from Chef Markus is fine and delicious, and the room is very comfortable. We keep coming back over and over again!

You can't criticize, because the service, accommodation and food were first class and absolutely worth the money.Please note, however, that you live above the restaurant in the old town with cobblestones, so in summer you can hear the restaurant guests until around 10 p.m. and also the staff cleaning up afterwards.And in the morning it gets loud early from cars, garbage disposal, etc.We will still come back!

Meisenheim has a lot of beautiful things to offer. Interesting architecture (little destruction caused by WWII), city walls, church etc.The most noble house on the square is of course the Meisenheimer Hof.For the third time we were unable to test the highly praised cuisine (holidays, event, today at the wrong time).But we were warmly welcomed by a very committed employee. In the pouring rain today we were basically just looking for water-free shelter; she offered to show us all the associated rooms. This tour just never ceased to leave us in awe.It was too early for wine tasting. Their cafe opposite was too sweet for us, although one of our group wanted a salty breakfast.Nevertheless, we were treated kindly like interested guests.At some point we will live here longer!In 2021 I wrote: Looks very elegant. Was the organizer of the “first Meisenheimer Genussfestival” on September 12th, 2021, where all the good winemakers and chefs come together. The price of the ticket (149 €, box office 159 €) was definitely worth it, as 100% of the proceeds were earmarked for the restaurants and winegrowers on the Ahr, who lost their houses and vineyards in the flood disaster in June.

Short version: The hotel rooms are modernized, basic, and clean, in beautiful Hof environment. Hotel reception, breakfast, and checkout are understaffed and overwhelmed. Restaurant service and ambiance are likewise not ready for prime time. The food is Michelin Star-worthy. So: go only in a small group, at least for now, and do not expect typical Michelin-level service or environment.Long version: The restaurant could not manage our party of 14 professionally, or at least to the same standard we have experienced in France, Spain, Denmark. They will not offer groups the full menu, so she first proposed we each individually order a different set of a different number of courses from the tasting menu, which seemed entirely impractical for both the kitchen and for us. After weeks of mis-read emails, a short, rude phone call, and 2x1.5-hour round trip drives to attempt to clarify the basic request, we agreed to a limited subset of the a la carte menu they would be willing to offer us, which we should be "grateful" for on a Sunday evening. (And this only after she realized, in spite of having been told several times, that most of us were staying the night at the hotel.) In retrospect we should have just booked several smaller tables and presumably received the standard treatment.On the night, the restaurant service itself was equally unprofessional. We had booked a Sekt reception to start, with foie gras Canapés, which the service staff seemed to have forgotten, and seated the party without it. (And seated them without the menu we had agreed to, but instead with an upsell menu with different, additional hors d'oevres, oysters, etc.) So the party stood up, confused, and the Sekt reception materialized, in fact held at the restaurant reception desk in the middle of waitstaff traffic from the kitchen and the service bar. We were placed in the way and could barely hear to make toasts.For dinner, although there was plenty of room to pull the long table out, it had been left next to the wall, so that the 6 people on that side could not be served correctly and were expected to stack and hand over plates. I had to notice and ask that the remaining Sekt we had purchased be offered to the guests. No sommelier service was offered, although I asked for recommendations. The staff periodically called out, "So, Who wants the Sauvignon Blanc? Who wants the Weissburgunder?" All in all, an inconsiderate Biergarten service experience, which of course made the food price (€100-€140 pp) then too high.The food itself was outstanding, and for us driving in from Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, etc, it is wonderful to have such creativity and exquisite execution so close, in beautiful Meisenheim. Not sure we will return individually, though, until the service matches it. Compare to Auberge Saint Walfrid.

I was at the Meisenheimer Hof once again for our class reunions, which take place every two years. This time for the “50th” high school diploma. I had the golden hole as a room. As always, I was warmly welcomed and shown to the room because I had to be explained how to use the shower head.I only had breakfast, but it was very well stocked. You had to order egg dishes separately.The Meisenheimer Hof has had a star since this year. The classmates reported a very good but not cheap three-course meal the evening before.I'll be back in two years.

We spent a great evening together with friends. We decided on a multi-course menu with wine accompaniment and didn't regret it. The service was very attentive and the sommelier really recommended an excellent wine selection for each course - plus he always had a good story to tell about the wine.

Top cuisine with a Michelin star. Even exceeded our expectations. Young, dedicated service team with the best manners. Hotel rooms are completely individual and spread over several buildings. Modern comfort. Some rooms on the second floor do not have an elevator.Meisenheim is a pearl and well worth seeing, although “out of the ordinary”.We'll be back.

An excellent experience. The hotel is located in a very old, beautifully decorated building ensemble. My room was spacious and stylishly decorated with antique furniture. The breakfast was of high quality, in keeping with the excellent cuisine; fresh and, above all, ripe fruit, first-class cheese and wonderful salads...I also enjoyed a menu at the restaurant. The guest room appears rustic and elegant at the same time and radiates cosiness. I was served excellently, with commitment and humor, by the house sommilier. The wine accompaniment was exactly what I wanted to be surprised. The individual courses were wonderful in terms of taste and aesthetics. Conclusion: I would like to come back.

Wonderful place. Nice hotel with individually renovated, large, charming rooms. Very good breakfast. But the highlight is the restaurant. Excellent menu with unusual wine pairings and dedicated service. The only drawback would be that the place and the hotel are less suitable for people with walking difficulties.
