I had reserved a room without refund due to cancellation. I still had to cancel and they kindly refunded my reservation in full. So I cannot judge the establishment and the comfort but the service deserves the 5 stars

Simple hotel, no frills.The reception is “contactless”, an envelope with the keys awaits us inside. The door code is provided by email in advance.My partner booked for my birthday and Amina (the lady who takes care of tidying the rooms) is exceptional. Very smiling, very warm. She didn't hesitate to leave us extra bottles of water, extra coffee and extra shower gel.The hotel is ideally located, less than 3 minutes walk from the historic center and its parking less than 10 meters away.The rooms are very clean, welcoming with wifi. Very comfortable bed.Thanks to Amina for her little note for my birthday, it warms my heart.Thank you to the whole team for this stay.I recommend. And long live Amina!

Hotel without reception, it is on a bar street that is super noisy at night on the weekend, it has nothing more than the coffee maker socket and little light, no elevator the only good thing is a fairly comfortable bed and it is in the center, I was there 2 nights, I wouldn't go back.

The hotel des Tonneliers is located in a pedestrian street in the heart of Strasbourg, a stone's throw from the famous cathedral.I stayed twice and in two different rooms.The hotel is old and would need some major maintenance work.The staff is friendly but unprepared to handle requests such as a taxi reservation and early in the morning there is no one to turn to anyway.There is no lift, the rooms are really damp, small, simply furnished but not at all functional: the carpet was dirty last time, the bed was poorly made, the window shelf attached to the bed but covered by curtains ( I crashed three times really hurting my hip) and there is only one outlet to serve both the room and the bathroom. Impossible to find anyone after 9pm to ask for a double take.Positive element: the coffee maker in the room.

To begin with, I do not recommend this hotel and I will explain why. When we arrived, no one was at reception and it was very difficult to contact reception to get the access code and the room keys placed on the counter.Arriving in the room, the condition of the carpet is very shady, worn and dirty, and a strong smell of humidity reigns in the room.Lots of humidity also in the bathroom and the sink faucet is absolutely not compatible with the sink, very difficult to pass your hands under.From 10 p.m. it's impossible to rest, slamming doors, noise in the corridors and outside with all the bars and visitors it's really hell until 5/6 a.m. (I admit that the hotel doesn't is not responsible for this but it is an obvious thing).The solution would perhaps be better insulation but that comes at a cost but to justify the so-called standing of the hotel you have to make careful choices.The parking lot is well located, very good for our two motorcycles, but be careful when parking a car, the spaces are really too small, unfortunately for your doors.For payment you have to be patient to find a person at reception.The only positive thing is his situation.It's up to you to take this opinion into account or not.

Small but nice, perfect location but you'd better come without a car. Stairs, no elevator, but a coffee machine in the room. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, tidy and in good condition (under the roof). But be careful, the street is loud.

It cannot be defined as a hotel...the photos are deceiving, the structure has no lift (and there are 4 floors) a really small room with a bed stuck together just enough to fit your legs...poor cleanliness.Except only …

Unfortunately I ended up with a very small room, moreover without plugs for charging electrical objects, no one at the reception, luckily the beds were excellent and the soundproofing of the room as well.

Damp and musty smell in the bathroom which has no walls or even a shower curtain. No sound insulation between rooms. No charm or renovation of the room (bare screws and dowel in the wall, light falling sideways). Comfortable bedding. The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. We were not informed of the lack of reception for a late arrival, and no contact had been made in advance. We miraculously managed to find the code to enter. Not to be repeated. Other hotels near the cathedral are more interesting

In the center of Strasbourg next to the city's cathedral, with all the shops at 100m. from the hotel. Amazing restaurants, bakeries, bars, riverboats, souvenir shops all nearby. The room small but convenient every day cleaning, towel change, decent mattress a good value for money.

OK room, small, dilapidated bathroom, good bedding but a musty smell. no reception, noisy!very noisy staircase and the impression of being in a building, and not in a hotel.Very well located, city center. parking 5 minutes walk, no breakfast at the “hotel”. you have to go to the cafes around. It's a shame that the restaurant at the bottom of the hotel doesn't offer breakfast.
