The two of us spent a short night here (after the festival in Papenburg)🎶 The room was cozy, with a kettle and welcome coffee☕ unfortunately there were a few misunderstandings with the room reservation 🤨 unfortunately there was no reply to emails. Breakfast was okay.

We were there for a weekend. Cleanliness and little extras like a comb and other hygiene products were great. Unfortunately the water pressure in the shower leaves a lot to be desired. And our bodies would really appreciate replacing the mattresses.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, older bathroom, unfortunately the water pressure in the shower leaves a lot to be desired.Unfortunately, checking in took quite a long time.Room cleaning once a week, more frequently if requested.WiFi is good.Breakfast from 6.30 a.m. Is good. The snack bar at the hotel is not recommended, I can warm up a frozen pizza myself for €13.The Greek restaurant at the hotel is good, but is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.Located in a forest where all sorts of attractions can be found (climbing forest, archery, Lasertec, fairytale forest, mini golf, observation tower, bumper cars, and much more). Unfortunately it's close to a campsite, so it's very loud in the evenings as long as there's someone there.

We stayed at the Waldhotel for two nights. All in all, we can highly recommend it. Unfortunately, there were a few little things that I would like to address.First the positive: The food in Sinti Yiamas and in the Fuchshöhle were excellent! The waitresses were quick and friendly. Really great. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and sufficient (even though we were always the last ones). The rooms were clean and simply furnished. What is very important for me and was really excellent: the water pressure in the shower. The view was really great too! Everything else was great too! An extra thumbs up especially for the fly screens on the windows. Now to the negative: Unfortunately, we were unlucky that we were there on a weekend when the shooting festival was taking place. We traveled for about 10 hours and didn't get much sleep. The hotel can't do much about it now. We couldn't sleep until about 3 a.m. because it was so loud.Unfortunately, at the same time we were there, there was a hotel guest who couldn't control his dog's loud organ. Don't get me wrong, I have a dog myself and love being able to take him everywhere. Although there were many dogs there, you could only hear this one barking loudly from 5 a.m. onwards. Every minute. So before our 10 hour journey home we slept for 2 hours. A bit stupid, but I don't want to hold the hotel responsible for these things (here's an appeal to other dog owners: please find another solution if a hotel visit means such stress for your dog or bothers other guests in this way) if a dog says it barks Nobody did anything, but those were different dimensions. So and now one more thing to finish. On our last evening a young gentleman served us at Sinti Yiamas. Mistakes happen, that's not a bad thing. However, if you bring the wrong supplement and this is pointed out, you should avoid listing the correct supplement as an “extra”. We thought that was cheeky. I didn't touch the other side dish. Actually the plate should have been returned. Normally the company is liable for the mistakes of the staff and not the guest. We had addressed this and fortunately it was no problem getting the bill corrected. However, only after we asked to see the invoice and asked not to charge it. This leaves a somewhat bland aftertaste, true to the motto “let’s try it.”I think it was a bunch of unfortunate circumstances rolled into one. That's why we would still like to give a good review and recommend the hotel. If it hadn't been for these "oopses", things wouldn't have worked out any better.
