Disappointing visit Sunday August 5th, 2024 at 7:45 p.m.Great joy, :::) they are open until 10 p.m.When we went in we asked “can we get something to eat”?Table assignment - HURRAY -Stop - We hadn't sat down yet and the information came that the kitchen was already clean. We're out again.Our gastronomy does not suffer from the VAT increase........Sad but trueWe will never return to Markt Mühle OberdorlaCOMPLETE!!!!

The location itself is very nice, and initially the landlord made a very good impression.Although there was enough space outside, we should definitely sit inside. So far so good. The landlord himself and a service person were very unfriendly.The beer is very special, we didn't like it at all, spring wheat, sorry, but it wasn't wheat.The food was ok, but not great either. We ordered the game goulash without red cabbage for one of our children. Nevertheless, the dish appeared on the bill with the full price. We just asked and the innkeeper took this as an opportunity to throw us €0.50, which we found more than cheeky. Being treated like guests or customers is dishonest and unworthy of an innkeeper. He then got really upset that we even allowed ourselves to ask.We see this as very aggressive and cheeky. Definitely our last visit there!

Insanely delicious food, very good beer and a really cool boss. There's always something special on the menu, which is generally small but regional, seasonal and simply good. We've tried pretty much everything now and always enjoy coming back.Reasonable prices, good service (the short-haired, blonde, slightly smaller lady and the boss together are the best team!)A visit here is always worth it if you are in the area.We wish you an always full house and loving guests.See you soon,Basti and Ina

Thanks to a tip from our landlady of the holiday apartment Appartement Am Center of Germany, we visited this beautiful inn. It is right next to a small stream. There is a parking space at the back. The reception was very friendly and we ordered. Beer from our own production and food from our own slaughter. Fresh and delicious. The inn is very nicely decorated and cozy. We thank you for the lovely evening and the culinary experience.

Restaurant and rooms are really great. The old mill has been beautifully decorated and everything is in great shape. The service is also very warm and you feel totally at home.The food and the home-brewed beer were also 1A.To the point: we spent a very nice weekend there and if we end up in the corner again we will definitely come back to the market mill

Beautiful rooms in the historic brewery, quiet location and very clean. The food is very good, prepared with love and I also liked the home-brewed beer (I'm from Bavaria). Otherwise the innkeepers were super nice and accommodating. I felt very comfortable.

Unfortunately I can't agree with the good reviews. Of course, tastes are different but we didn't like the house beer (hefeweizen & raspberry beer & rye beer) at all. Rather, we returned the beer but unfortunately the landlord wasn't particularly helpful or had an open ear for his guests - we don't know him either. The food was average, but sometimes not necessarily to my taste (liver was very dry and roll halves were so-so).The location or the mill is the actual “event” and is certainly an eye-catcher.

Christmas menu has been fully tested. Duck and goose were excellent. Tastes perfect, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Plus delicious dumplings and red cabbage. Sufficient portions so everyone will be full. Highly recommended.
