The innkeepers are not suitable as such.The breakfast was rather simple. The area is of course overwhelmingly beautiful. We're fed up with Bavaria for now. Elbe Sandstone Mountains are also beautiful. Really.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the right place for you. We were thrilled. Fantastic location, very friendly hosts, delicious breakfast which we were able to enjoy in peace and quiet on the terrace. We were also asked if everything was okay or if we were missing anything at breakfast. Clean room. We would love to come back and already have wanderlust after just a few days.

The location of Berngrubenlehen is simply fantastic and the view is absolutely worth the journey along the sometimes very narrow and steep mountain road. Unfortunately, that's where my enthusiasm ends.The fiefdom was probably taken over by the son of the former operator at the end of 2023. Despite telephone contact and written confirmation, we were not allowed to move into the booked room at the beginning of March. There were countless, sometimes macabre, excuses. The truth was also mentioned: he had invited friends over to party for the weekend... I wasn't even allowed to use the toilet briefly. Unfortunately, the guest is no longer the focus. A pity.

Very nicely located farm. Far away from the hustle and bustle and noise. Magnificent mountain views. Clean room and very plentiful breakfast prepared with love. Very friendly hosts.

Very nice hosts!The “Berghof” is located high up on the mountain.Cozy, functional, quiet and clean rooms, with great mattresses for a good night's sleep (!!). The extensive breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The unobstructed view of Watzmann & Co is breathtakingly beautiful and the hours spent together in the evening on the cozy terrace simply go by too quickly, just like the vacation days!We were at the farm for the second time this year and are already looking forward to our third vacation!

You can only feel comfortable with the Hofreiter family. Great location with great views of the mountains. The rooms and the living room are furnished with love and are very clean. Typical mountain farmhouse. We have been going to Fritzenweg almost every year for about 15 years.

Very nice mountain farm with a dream location and very nice ownersThe peace, the breakfast, the view, everything was fantastic, we'll be back.The restaurants nearby are also very good (Gasthof Sonneck, Vorderbrand). A car is absolutely necessary.

Once again we had a great week in June. The panorama is unbeatable, the sleeping witch, the Watzmann, etc. also the host family 😀 we will come back, we just feel really good with the Hofreiters.
