We stayed at Chalet Watzmann for a week at the beginning of September 2020 and our expectations were more than met. The chalet is furnished very tastefully and to a high quality and Mrs. Engel and her husband try very hard to fulfill your every wish. Your excursion and hiking tips were also great!We felt at home on the first day and would love to come back!

The owners of Chalet Watzmann gave us a super friendly and warm welcome. After the welcome, in addition to a detailed introduction to the facilities, there was also information about top restaurants and exciting activities in the area that are not so easy for a normal tourist to access.In addition, the accommodation in real life far exceeds the pictures that can be viewed online.The atmosphere created by the grounded, natural style and the perfectly coordinated furnishings allows you to quickly forget the stress of everyday life and relax.The sauna, the free-standing bathtub and the fantastic view from the bedroom and balcony are definitely a highlight.The luxurious furnishings are in immaculate condition and everything is super clean.A washing machine, a dryer and bicycles are also available free of charge.All in all, it can be said that this chalet is run by two lovely and courteous hosts and that no wishes are left unfulfilled in this beautiful accommodation.We can only recommend it to anyone planning a holiday in Berchtesgadener Land. It was just perfect and a unique experience that you probably rarely get in such a form. Thank you again for that!!!

everyone, our expectations were far exceeded.Absolutely beautiful house!!!!!!The rooms and the entire house are so lovingly decorated by Mariola - she pays attention to every little detail. She is a perfectionist in every way.That was our second stay there - you feel so safe and familiar!!

We're having a perfect week all aroundChalet Watzmann spent. Warm welcome from the hosts Mariola and Willi, a beautiful chalet that is very cozy and furnished with a lot of love and very high quality, fully equipped kitchen, perfect location, nothing is missing. Mariola and Willi were always there with questions and suggestions and recommendations. We'll definitely be back :)

The chalets are beautiful, the hosts are incredibly warm and helpful, and the location is perfect for exploring Lake Königssee and other picturesque excursion destinations in the area. We have traveled to many places and often go on vacation, but nowhere have we enjoyed it as much as we did here. Particularly noteworthy is the cleanliness, as I'm really picky when it comes to that. I have never stayed in an accommodation that was so clean. You won't find a speck of dust.Conclusion: We are already looking forward to the next unforgettable holiday in Chalet Watzmann 🥰

Starting with the warm welcome from Mariola and Willy, we felt very comfortable. Both our small chalet and the large one are lovingly and generously furnished. The sauna, shower and bathtub are very high quality. The kitchen with an induction stove makes cooking fun. The location is particularly noteworthy: remote enough for those seeking peace and quiet, some restaurants are still within walking distance. A car is only recommended for shopping. Lake Königssee is 45 minutes away and Berchtesgaden is about 30 minutes away on foot.

Unusual!A chalet furnished with great attention to detail and very high quality. Many accessories are made from high-quality reclaimed wood. The kitchen has everything you could imagine. And if you need something out of the ordinary (e.g. a kitchen scale) just ask the hosts :-). We felt very addressed when making the reservation/booking (questions about whether we preferred a soft or hard mattress, about our bathrobe size, shopping service for filling the fridge for the first time, etc.).The Chalet Watzmann is rated 5 stars. Our personal 5 stars (we were in the “König Watzmann”) are:1.) the private pine sauna in the room with infusion option (infusion aromas are provided). This is a special privilege, especially in times of the Corona pandemic, when infusions in public saunas are usually no longer possible.2.) Fireplace: in the living area, the stove creates a homely atmosphere and pleasant warmth. The fire is also nice to look at thanks to the glass front on three sides.2.) If the weather is bad or you're going on a long hike, the very large, free-standing bathtub invites you to take a relaxing bath together.3.) the large balcony terrace with large loungers (with cushions and parasol) with a view of the mountains4.) the location: the Berchtesgadener Land offers fantastic nature. We enjoyed the wonderful peace and quiet in the chalet. For self-sufficiency, there are bakers and butchers within walking distance, and larger supermarkets in nearby Berchtesgaden.5.) the hosts Mariola and Willi: live directly in the neighboring house ("Lukaswinkl"). Very warm, honest, helpful and courteous hosts, like we have never experienced before.We will have positive memories of our days spent for a long time and will be happy to come back to spend extraordinary moments in the extraordinary Chalet Watzmann :-)

Fantastic vacation!We spent wonderful days with Mariola and Willi. The two of them are such warm hosts and always look after the well-being of their guests. It doesn’t matter whether you ask them for an excursion tip, a hiking suggestion or a restaurant recommendation.The chalet is very tastefully, high quality and furnished with great attention to detail. From the fully equipped kitchen, to the fireplace, the free-standing bathtub, the beautiful terrace with mountain views to the pine sauna, there is absolutely nothing missing, it is simply perfect.We can only recommend a stay at Chalet Watzmann!

Unforgettable!Where should you start when you find so much perfection and love in an accommodation like this one. The Chalet Watzmann leaves nothing to be desired. The loving nature and warmth of the hosts, who make you feel at home and welcome, the more than high-quality, stylish furnishings and, above all, the 100 percent cleanliness of the chalet, which you would rarely find in this perfection anywhere else, is incomparable. Everything is thought out down to the smallest detail and implemented with love. The price-performance ratio is more than fair, the location near Königssee is a true dream. From romance to luxury, it's remarkable what's on offer here for this price. Without a doubt an absolute recommendation and always worth a trip. All that remains here is a big thank you, for which there are probably no words that would do justice to the hosts. We'll be back!

Chalet Watzmann far exceeded our expectations. The apartment is very tastefully furnished and Ms. Engel and her husband try very hard to fulfill your every wish. After our wedding we went to Schönau to honeymoon for a few days and really enjoyed it! The location is perfect for hiking, so you can leave the car behind!
