We spent a week in the hay chamber this summer. Unfortunately, the farm, which at first glance seemed great, disappointed us:Holiday apartment: The hay chamber is beautiful and can be easily lived in by several parties. However, given the heat, we would have preferred air conditioning (in the bedrooms) instead of a sauna. This is part of a 5-star holiday apartment. When the weather changed and the sun was gone/the rain was there, all the skylights closed automatically - but since these were the only windows in the bedrooms, cooler air couldn't come in even then. The heat in the rooms was almost unbearable, especially at night.I can't say anything about the kitchen equipment because we never cooked there because it would have been even hotter.Unfortunately, the street that runs directly in front of the balcony is relatively busy well into the night and hardly anyone sticks to the 70 km/h speed, making it very loud.Unfortunately, when we arrived we were not shown anything other than the holiday apartment. We explored the farm ourselves, but only discovered many things by chance shortly before we left.Farm: the guinea pigs were very cute and our children had a lot of fun petting them. Otherwise, there are alpacas in the stable (it was only explained to us the day before departure that and how you can take them for a walk), rabbits, a pig and small horses. Riding was great for the children. They would have liked to help bring the horses out/in more often, but they were rarely informed about this and when the boss wasn't there for a few days, it wasn't mentioned at all at what times this took place.Unfortunately, the children were not taken into account at all when feeding the calves. It was neither explained what was going to be done nor really answered the children's questions. After 10 minutes all the children had disappeared, unfortunately understandable. In general, our children would have liked to help with the work on the farm (just as you would imagine on a farm holiday). Unfortunately, that was not at all intended/possible here.On our last day the children were asked for the first time if they would like to ride on the tractor. Unfortunately, the tractor ride-along appointment on the bulletin board never took place and when I asked the lady from the calf feeding department there was only a cheeky answer. The location is of course great, you can go on nice trips. However, we wanted to go to a farm so we could spend most of the time there. The big trampoline in the garden was our biggest activity. Unfortunately, after a few days it was pretty full of leaves, but nobody cared...Unfortunately, we never found out that you can make a fire/stick bread. We also only discovered the barn with the hay playground by chance when the house's daughter took us there. Our conclusion: In our opinion, these are just holiday apartments and have hardly anything to do with a farm. However, the steep price is far too high for “just” holiday apartments. We won't be coming back - but the kids still enjoyed it and that's the main thing :)
