The Schmied guest house is in a quiet location and yet all relevant facilities can be reached very quickly and on foot. With the Walsercard (given free of charge upon arrival) it makes sense to use the public ones. This means that the car can almost always be left standing, as you can take the bus to all places in the region for free. Also interesting for hikes. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The view from the balcony is a dream. The excellent breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired, is highly praiseworthy. The Schmied family looks after its guests in a particularly friendly and caring manner. You also get very good information and tips on all kinds of activities. The beautiful landscape and the family hospitality make your holiday at the Schmied guesthouse unforgettable. For us, the holiday destination for summer 2025 has already been decided! Thank you for a wonderful stay with you!

We were warmly welcomed into the guesthouse. We really liked the room with a balcony and a view of the mountains. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast in the guesthouse was simply great. The hosts catered to our individual wishes every morning of the guests. We really enjoyed eating scrambled eggs, which were really tasty. The personal contact with the hosts and the other holiday guests was also very pleasant every morning. The guesthouse is quite centrally located in Obermaiselstein and is very suitable for excursions. Many thanks to the Schmid family for the wonderful days with you. We can fully recommend Pension Schmid.

Great guesthouse! Quietly located, but still a good distance from Oberstdorf. Nice, clean rooms, friendly owners and a great breakfast. Great not just for skiing.

Nice and clean room with a balcony. Nothing was missing, the breakfast was very tasty. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and provided us with good information about hikes and excursions in the surrounding area. The local recommendations were also great. Any time!

The room serves its purpose, is very clean, has a good size, as does the balcony of room number 1. You can sit outside in the garden for breakfast. Hosts are nice and give tips on how to organize the day. We felt very comfortable 😊

We can only recommend it. We recovered very well. Breakfast was all fresh, sufficient and very tasty. We were able to have breakfast outside when the weather was nice. The hosts were very nice and gave us great tips for hikes and excursion destinations. Will definitely come again.
