We stayed here and enjoyed the quiet location (save for the church bells). Nearby is the Kurchenberg Museum which was quite excellent! The meal at the restaurant was great. The best schnitzel we have had in Germany. Wonderful hosts.

Rotes Ross is located in Markt Einersheim, not far from Schwanberg. It's very well known for serving fish dishes, mostly local fish such as carp and trout. We tried these out and both the dishes were very well prepared with delicious sides. There are also other interesting items on the menu currently, such as local Franconian braised beef with horse radish sauce (Rindfleisch mit Meerrettich) and game, another local specialty. The portions are generous, and I couldn't finish my meal, so took the rest home. The service is good and friendly. Budget wise, the restaurant seems to have raised its prices a notch, in line with others in the region. Expect to pay around 25 euros for the main course and a drink for very traditional fare. As you walk into the restaurant, there are around five steps - a little difficult and not exactly wheelchair accessible - but the atmosphere inside is cozy and welcoming. I recommend the restaurant to families, with or without children. Good value for money.
