Fabulous hotel in an old, historic mill, full of interesting paintings. Very friendly and helpful staff and particularly the owner, who couldn't have done more to make us welcome. Our apartment room was spacious and comfortable, with a separate lounge.Breakfast was amazing, and couldn't have been any better in a 5-star hotel. Plenty of choice, and it would be hard to think of anything else that could have been supplied. The meal in the restaurant was particularly good.Parking was fine (but booking advisable) and our dog was made welcome too!Highly recommended and we may well return.

Agree with previous reviews. Touts a 4 star rating but fails to measure up. Breakfast was mediocre. The fruit needed to be freshened up. The art and atmosphere was less than appropriate. I respect the environmental need to have appropriate lighting but setting hallway lights on motion detectors is not safe. Also staff smoked outside in the morning with the door open and the smell filled our room.

The hotel a touts Four Star rating, but failed to measure up. Our room forwhich we were kept waiting for because they had lost our reservations, was up narrow flights of stairs with only loose ropes for handrails. The owner, not a charmer, though much younger than my 73 years, offered no help getting our luggage. Gave us larger, though stuffy room with zero wifi. We were unable to eat in the restaurant because it was booked-up on a Tuesday. Breakfast was good, generous & the best part. Overall, I'm glad we were there for only one night.

I’m sure if one gets a regular room, this hotel can be nice. The host, however, seemed unable to find our reservation, even though it was made months ago. He put us in what he touted as his “favorite room.” It was on the third floor, with lots of odd angles, including a particularly hazardous beam in the hallway. We’re in our 70s and there is no elevator, nor did he offer to help us up two steep flights with our luggage. Oh, and there is no Internet in this room either as it’s too far from the router to be picked up by our phones. No air conditioning on the third floor made the room hot and airless as it was a warm day. There was no fan either, and though we opened the windows, it was nine p.m. before the room actually cooled off. I would not stay here again, even though it had a very good breakfast.

Very expensive for what you get. They are quick to take your money but to give you any customer service is far from them… no food at 8.15 pm no one at reception, nobody is answering the phone. …

Centrally located in the middle of the most beautiful section of the Rhine River is this Gem of a Hotel. Our room was located to the rear of the property that overlooks the garden. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. …

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The check-in process is a little unusual. First, the location is a little confusing, there are a number of similar looking buildings nearby. …

The hotel and restaurant are established in medieval looking set of buildings. The interior is rustic, lots of wood and countryside type of furniture, against the backdrop of the old water mill. …

When did you ever arrive at a large hotel to discover the only person on site was a cook had no idea when the owner/ receptionist would appear and couldn't check us in? We had to wait over an hour until the next 'shift' arrived. …

Quaint property, with interesting artwork and artifacts. However, there was never anyone at the front desk, except during checkout times. …
