First time we’ve stayed in such a place - always been very skeptical. But we were completely surprised. Kids had a great time and we had a relaxing few days. Couldn’t ask for more. …

Best vacation with kids ever! I have never been so relaxed on a vacation with my daughter. You can simply let the child (7) run in the morning. It joins a bunch of children and can even eat independently at the rich buffet. Everything is designed from the perspective of children. In the evening you can see happy, relaxed parents lying in lounge chairs with drinks. The area is not large, but the people are spread out and it never feels crowded or loud. Not even in the dining room! I would recommend the Landhof to families at any time.

We love this place and have been there 7 times. Even my 12 year old likes to go along. The food is delicious, the rooms are beautiful and clean. The best thing is the staff! Friendly, accommodating, not to be topped. There is a wide range of options for the family. From stick bread to covered wagon rides to loving child care, everything is included. My girls (9 and 4) also like to ride. The perfect vacation for me! There are also plenty of excursion destinations in the surrounding area, for example the DOC in Ochtrup.

This is the second time we've vacationed at Landhuus Laurenz in a very short space of time and I'm thrilled! I returned today from a short trip with my girls (6 months and 3 years). And still inspired. So much warmth and love can be found in this place. Just beautiful. The service is extremely good! The program for the children is also really great! We will be back definitely.A heartfelt recommendation!

We had already registered as vegetarians in advance. Apparently the kitchen was not aware of this when we arrived. Although we repeatedly pointed out that we were eating vegetarian food, we usually forgot about it the next day. There were always times when we could only eat salad and side dishes, sometimes without sauces. I really don't want to point out every single day that we want to eat vegetarian. Nowadays it should be common practice to have guests who eat a vegetarian diet. Even non-vegetarians like to eat something that doesn't contain meat. You can find a compromise that suits everyone. Breakfast is always the same. The same one cream cheese, three types of cheese, eggs and tomato/mozzarella. The cola from the machine is undrinkable. I have to honestly say that I expected a lot more for the price. We generally found the service to be very friendly and helpful. There is a drinks fridge for the evening hours, but it is only opened after 9 p.m. when the bar closes. Why? I know from other family hotels that there is unrestricted access to the drinks fridge. The child care was loving and helpful when it took place. Unfortunately, it also happened that offers were not offered without cancellation "because of the bad weather" and we had to look for the supervisor, who then came and processed the program item. The duration of childcare is limited to two and a half hours in the morning and two and a half hours in the afternoon (a little longer on Fridays and Saturdays). Other family hotels offer more. We would also have liked the children to be actively invited to the activities. The play options for children are extensive, especially outsideOur apartment was clean and spacious. Games and puzzles provided are not complete. We had 5 in hand and each one was missing one or more parts. None of the sockets in our holiday apartment had a child lock. The stable, riding lessons and the riding instructors/helpers are worth 5 stars and stand out very positively from the overall impression. In general, we had the feeling that savings were being made at every turn, which I find very difficult, to say the least, given the price of 412 euros per night for a family of three.

The hotel is nicely located and very clean. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food was perfectly fine and comparable to good old home cooking. I would have liked more motivation and commitment from childcare. If my child hadn't found another child on site, it wouldn't have been relaxed for me. After 3 days the air was gone. What I personally didn't like were the animal enclosures. The bird aviary was not clean upon arrival and was not cleaned once in 5 days. Unfortunately the same thing happened with the rabbits, who didn't get fresh straw or hay every day. Feeding the large animals consisted of feeding the leftovers from the previous day to the animals. The chickens were in a dark, dirty coop and were not allowed to go out. I think if you offer something with animals you also have an educational mission and so animals are definitely not kept in a species-appropriate manner. I don't know this from other hotels with animals. The horses were in good condition, but unfortunately there was also a lack of bedding and hay. The riding instructor, on the other hand, is top and fully motivated. However, the riding event must be booked separately. My child really enjoyed the holiday, thanks to the other child. However, I say it was okay but I wouldn't have to go there again.

We were extremely happy with our holiday at Landhuus Laurenz. The service in the dining room couldn't be beat! The rooms are clean and well equipped, rustic yet modern. We had mostly rain, which wasn't a bad thing as the play barn and the HappyClub could fill the day. The HappyClub activities are great and our son was always happy to take part. The support there is great! You have to be aware that this is a farm holiday and not a wellness holiday. We thought it was great to be able to feed the animals in the morning and be able to visit the animals again and again during the day. Animal welfare is very important on the farm. The food was amazing. Always varied and more than enough. There is something for everyone, even the children will get their fill here. The plates were regularly refilled and the cook kept checking to see if there was enough of everything left. Here too we can only say how friendly the chefs are!We were warmly welcomed and personally shown to our room. With a small problem towards the end of the holiday we were even offered another room. (The toilet flushed sometimes)Our conclusion is: We really enjoyed our vacation and we will definitely come back!

We were dazzled by the beautiful pictures and the Familotel logo. But this farm is not ideal. On the one hand, we had booked a two-room room, but there was only a double bed in the children's room, which was not possible for our children (8+6). Unfortunately, this was not apparent beforehand. Luckily there was a sofa bed. Then directly under the children's room window was the smoking pavilion. Ventilation was not possible without the smell of cigarettes. Speaking of ventilation, unfortunately the night-time quiet period from 10 p.m. was often significantly exceeded. Therefore it was very warm in the room as the sun shone on it all day.The food was, let's say, upscale canteen standards. Was ok.What also didn't work at all was the drinking cup system. For hygienic reasons, you should always take a fresh cup/glass before drawing a drink, as you have to press a lever with your cup so that the drink of your choice comes out. It was specifically mentioned during the tour!Only children under 7 years of age cannot read, are usually alone at the pump station and have little interest in this rule. Does that mean the cup that was drooled on was happily pressed against the tap all day long......On the one hand, in times of sustainability it doesn't make sense to take 10 new cups/glasses a day (endless dishwater) and the way it's done isn't hygienic either. From other Familotels you know other systems with a push button to refill your glasses. What is absolutely not possible in a children's/family hotel is that foxgloves grow on the freely accessible area near the playground. It's nice to look at, but highly poisonous! Now something good, the team of riding instructors is great!! Very empathetic and loving. The Münsterland is a very beautiful area, it won't be the last time we'll be there, just somewhere else next time.

Cozy and familiar, a place you want to come back to.Room very clean upon arrival with plenty of storage space. What often bothers me on vacation is the fact that there are two beds together instead of one big one (if the child wants to sleep on the eleventh bed, it lies in the hole between two mattresses.)Our daughter (6) really enjoyed her vacation and didn't want to leave. We weren't even in the car on the way home when she asked when we were coming back here. Feeding the animals, the play barn and the trampoline were a highlight. The food was good, you could always find something.Cake time is mean and hard to resist.Overall a great hotel for the children.
