Large room with seating area, freestanding bath, shower room and terrace. Quiet location but not far from the old centre of town and decent eating options. We stayed just one night but it would make a lovely base for a walking holiday.

The reservation over the phone was easy. The lady at the reception was very nice and friendly.We had reserved the maisonette room in the Villa Waldfrieden.Getting there from the hotel is no problem and easy to find. If you want to start the morning with a short hike for breakfast, this is the right place.About the room:The house is beautiful to look at. The entrance is like diving into another world. Unfortunately, this style is not continued in the maisonette room. The living room on the lower floor is furnished in a careless and styleless manner. The furniture looks thrown together and all in all still very inviting.The very modern and VERY steep staircase leads to an equally modern bedroom. We had our dog with us, who, like us, had a lot of trouble getting back down the stairs. The bedroom consists of a 1.40 large bed from the lower price segment from Ikea with two very thick and hard 70cm wide mattresses that steal from the bed frame at night.The bathroom with bathtub and rain shower is very nice to look at. There were lots of towels and even bathrobes available. The corner bathtub is actually built into the corner under the sloping roof. My husband, at 1.85, had difficulty getting into the tub, let alone bathing with two people.The same applies to the rain shower, the head of which could no longer be moved due to the slant.At second glance, the room itself wasn't very clean. There were dead moths everywhere and the view from the roof windows was made difficult by a lot of dirt.In the morning we took part in the large, hearty breakfast with fresh waffles for €20 per person. A big plus point was the possibility of having breakfast late (until 11:30 a.m.).The breakfast room is beautiful. The selection was okay and sufficient for a breakfast, but in my opinion not very appropriate for the price.The waffles in particular were a big disappointment. The breakfast buffet starts at eight. When we arrived at 10 a.m. the waffle batter was uncovered and cold in the room. Half an hour later, the very unappetizing-looking waffle iron was turned on and the baked waffles were offered to the guests at the table. We politely declined.All in all, I would recommend this hotel for hikers without high expectations of interior design and comfort.

Very beautiful and tastefulrenovated Art Nouveau villa. This is connected to the Art Nouveau and spa hotel in Annweiler am Trifels. Accordingly, you can have breakfast in the Art Nouveau hotel. You can also walk about 1 km through the Annweiler spa gardens. Alternatively, you can of course also take the car and get there in 3 minutes. The rooms are stylish but equipped with contemporary comfort. And the villa is in a wonderfully quiet location right on the edge of the forest. We enjoyed the stay very much. P.S.: With children you can also book an overnight stay in one of the two “witch houses”. They are in the large garden of the villa, some distance from the main house, behind trees.

What a great hotel! Dogs are welcome, so that's an advantage for us anyway. But the rooms, the interior, the restaurant, the food, the environment, atmosphere, personal service. Everything great! What's special about it is that you have a reception and restaurant, but you stay in a different building. And that is of course which one you booked. We stayed in a beautiful old mansion. Beautiful. But they also have a luxurious tree house, for example. Just take a look on the internet for yourself, it's super cool what they offer.

Beautiful, spacious rooms with a large bathroom. Breakfast must be booked separately and taken in the Art Nouveau hotel. Unfortunately there are no Palatinate wines in the canteen, only sparkling wine, beer and other drinks.

We had the apartment in the “basement”.It was clean and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good. Personally, I missed the Nutella but those are just my needs 😊Otherwise everything is really included.We will come again.😊
