The room was clean and neat. Breakfast was served at the fire. Very good place for a good price.

Spent two nights there. Reception unfriendly. Room OK After the first night, neither the room nor the bathroom were cleaned, and the beds were not made either. On the day of departure we were supposed to have breakfast before 7:30 a.m. Alternatively, we had breakfast on the terrace, which we had no problems with as it was warm. There was no staff to be seen. In front of the entrance to the rooms there was a mason jar with cigarette butts from the last 3 weeks.Overall not recommended.

The rooms were in a tidy but not necessarily modern condition. The rooms were basically cleaned.

So much for the good - the breakfast was a joke and cost 7.50 euros per person. And when it comes to the overnight price - pure lack of transparency. According to the website from 50 euros for a double room. We were supposed to pay 64 euros per night without breakfast. Why, why, why - I have no idea. And when asked, they just said, “That’s how it is in the village.” No debit card payment and despite the yawning emptiness and probably an unexpected rush of guests, we were supposed to leave the room at 11 a.m. Customer friendliness looks different.

In my view, financial optimization is carried out by the owners.

We spent 8 days "Am Kamin" in June and can only say good things: A quiet and friendly couple running the property, rooms cost EUR 35 per night plus EUR 7.50 breakfast, which is on the table in the morning at the desired time. The landlady provides, what you want the day before, quantity is completely sufficient, quality is very good, from local suppliers, the eggs come from our own chickens. The only people who will be disappointed are those who expect an unnecessary and ethically reprehensible excess of food, as is unfortunately common in the hotel industry today. i.e. huge quantities are brought in that no one can handle, so that what is left behind has to be disposed of. There is no menu card, dinner is brought to the table by arrangement, and the prices for drinks are more than good Cheap. Rooms are a bit old, but equipped with everything modern people need. It's nice that someone here thought of multiple power strips to which you can connect all your devices. Neatly large flatbed screens with 2x HDMI, AV and VGA interfaces are the icing on the cake. Hotel rooms and modern bathrooms are clean, cleaned daily. The absolute best thing is the quiet location at the end of the town, in the middle of the countryside, i.e. from the hotel there are direct access to hiking and jogging paths that offer wonderful views of the Werra Valley, among others. The hotel terrace and the large garden are also attractive, where you can sit and relax during the day and evening when the weather is nice if you don't feel like going on tour. Treffurt, Eisenach, Mühlhausen, Grandenborn (with the famous poppy blossom), Eschwege, the Hohe Meißner and the Hainich National Park are just a stone's throw away: paradise for culture and/or nature fans. Little guests will enjoy the rabbits, chickens and the large meadow. All in all: If you don't expect sophisticated and soulless high-tech tourism, this is the place for you. We'll be back in the fall when the leaves change color.

The place is a bit out of the way, suitable for those looking for peace and quiet, the furnishings are a bit older but functional. Double room €68 without breakfast, price slightly higher???

Hosts very helpful, wonderfully quiet location. Unfortunately there is only one small shop in town to supplement your food. The detour from the Werra cycle path is still worth it.
