Great room, well isolated, clean, with daily room service. Good quality breakfast with a large variety. Very friendly staff and hotel owners. Great location - not too far from the middle of town, but enough to provide peace and quiet (10 to 15 minute walk). A great view from the cafeteria.

Was there for 3 nights and very satisfied. The single room is completely sufficient for one personThe breakfast includes everything you needThe owners are friendly and helpful. The only negative thing, if you can say negative here, is that breakfast starts at 8 a.mAnd unfortunately I'm an early riser. It would be good if you had a capsule machine like this in your room.Coffee is a better way to pass the time.I can't understand the bad reviews here.So keep it up...

Clean rooms with a large TV. Very nice people, a breakfast better than in a 4 star hotel, just great. Again and again. Kind regards, Jens Kallert

Quietly located guesthouse. My room had a view of the Werra valley. Breakfast was good. The process of handing over the keys at the weekend could have been communicated a little better, but everything went well. The owner family is very friendly, I felt comfortable for the two nights

I have no idea what problem some people have with the owner or the hotel itself. Suspect frustration with your own life. The owner is very nice and available for a quick chat. The rooms are clean, functionally equipped and everything you need is there, including a large flat-screen TV.The breakfast is delicious and looks and tastes fresh. All in all, it was a great stay for me and I can't say anything bad about the hotel or the owner. That's why I give it 5 stars.N. Radünz

I felt very comfortable and very welcome. The warm welcome and the care were really nice and everything was clean, tidy and functionally prepared. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the breakfast because I always had to leave early after the two nights - next time! The room had a small balcony where I could sit and look out over the city in the evenings. Good beds, good bedding and a nice little bathroom. I was super satisfied!!!

First of all: I use an electric wheelchair. ||The rooms were nice but the access to the bathroom was much too narrow. …

I think it's great how many hotels and guesthouses try to make their stay as pleasant as possible for guests with limited mobility and other disabilities.Unfortunately we didn't find such a guesthouse.I am dependent on an electric wheelchair and at the first contact, a few days before the booked night, it was spontaneously explained to me what I could and could not do with my wheelchair: I inquired about a room that I could use with my wheelchair . The lady then explained to me that unfortunately I couldn't fit through the door and that I couldn't even turn around in the room. I experience this scenario very often and very rarely do these people assess the situation correctly. So I insisted on wanting to see the room. It was emphasized several times that this would make no sense anyway. After I persisted, they let me see the room. I got into the room without any problems and turning around wouldn't be a problem either...The problem only arose when accessing the bathroom. A 60cm wide door would make it impossible for me to use the bathroom. Nevertheless, I decided to reserve the room because it was primarily intended for visiting my girlfriend and there should also be an accessible toilet in the café, which was in the same building.Breakfast should be accessible to me via a small detour. I was only informed at check-in, i.e. after booking, that I would still have had to climb a step or, alternatively, could just sit outside. The idea that in bad weather we could perhaps have our breakfast in the café, which was simply above the breakfast room, seemed very absurd, on the grounds that there would then be no one there to watch that we or whoever didn't use the cash register clear out. (not literally but meaningfully). When we went to the breakfast room the next morning and it was very cold, we asked for a tray so we could eat our breakfast in the room. The lady of the house told us that there were no trays and then called her husband with the words "Your part". His "part" was to explain to us that we weren't allowed to have breakfast in the room because we might get crumbs on the carpet and then the whole carpet might have to be replaced. I've never experienced being banned from eating in a €100 room...so the only option was to eat outside or "take a step in and then sit down". I took the last step somewhere about 5 years ago. Of course no one can know, but there it was again: strangers explaining to me what I can do!I was only allowed to use the toilet in the café, which would actually have been usable for me, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., because that's when the café is open. To do this I would have to go from the rooms through a door into a small hallway. At the end of this hallway was the toilet door straight ahead and the door to the café to the right. If you simply closed the café door and left the first door open, I would have been able to use the toilet around the clock. However, there was no reason for the owner to even remotely think about it. Likewise, it seemed too complicated for him to equip the step to the breakfast room with a mobile ramp. Two simple changes: a lock for the café door and a mobile ramp would make it much easier for future guests with wheelchairs to participate in this guesthouse, but when we asked why the owner didn't want to implement this to create more accessibility, all we got was the answer: "Maybe I don't want that at all"...It would have been easy to allow us to have breakfast in the café or in the room. It would also have been entirely possible to give us access to the toilet in the café. However, I have never experienced how condescending and unfriendly we were treated here. Not recommended for anyone!
