We had to digest this visit first. What was that please?Visually well done, map reads well. Staff was very nice at first. My husband ordered a homemade sauerbraten. He is a trained chef and it is his favorite roast. The daughter roast beef. I cheese spaetzle. My husband got the roast. This was anything but a sour roast. There was a roast with dark cream sauce and a splash of vinegar, perhaps. Maybe not. My husband asked if the chef had made a mistake in the sauce. This was denied. Then, out of interest and curiosity, I asked the conditions whether this was a recipe from the area or a recipe I had created myself for the restaurant. Because it is what it is, it just didn't taste good. My husband wanted to order a roast beef, but our daughter found it completely over-salted, so he canceled it. From then on the tone and looks became completely different. The waitresses put their heads together, looked at us and talked about us. For minutes. Very unpleasant feeling. And then the boss came, if it was the boss and not the bouncer. He slammed the card on the table and let us know out loud that THE SAUREBREATEN WOULD BE WITH US. We complained several times. Nobody complained. We asked whether it was actually a sauerbraten and whether it was a special recipe. If the bill is over €90, I have every right to ask something like that. There was no time to ask. This unpleasant person interrupted me in every sentence, was simply loud and rude. By the way, my cheese spaetzle didn't taste good either. Cream sauce, cheese, onions, that was just too much of a good thing. I tried to explain to the lady, even though she didn't deserve it, dragons are more suitable to be called that, that we didn't complain or complain about anything, because she assumed that too. Vain. She screamed herself into a rage... but based on other reviews, that's probably not unusual. When we told her that would be a hefty review, she exclaimed "she wouldn't give a damn." Conclusion: teach the chef how to cook properly and learn how to behave!

We had a delicious meal in the Old Hall while passing through. The pike perch was excellent, and the saddle of venison was also very tasty. We ordered spaetzle as a side dish, they were homemade and terrific. The schnitzel with fried potatoes also tasted fabulous. It was good that the children's schnitzel was also a small "real" schnitzel and not a finished product. The service was very friendly. Electronic table reservation half an hour before arrival also worked well.

We were at dinner where my partner had invited his family to celebrate his birthday. Some wanted cola and got a drink that didn't deserve the name and the same applied to "Spezi" or "Fanta." And the joke was that it cost exactly the same as the original drinks. The pork was also very dry and therefore hard. This experience spoiled any future visit for us.

Yesterday the four of us were at Hummel's for a barbecue evening (June 6th - August 29th, Wednesday, Thursday). We were greeted with different types of bread and 3 very tasty dips. We then had a starter: 2 white tomato foam soups with shrimp in kataifi. As main courses we had the Hummel's Burger, a pork fillet skewer with grilled vegetables and the Irish Tomahawk for two people. Everything was excellent! The service was super friendly and I'm sure we'll attend the barbecue evening again! Thanks for the good food and the nice service!

I was invited to the old hall of the Gasthaus Hummel and we were all really looking forward to it. However, the experience was mixed. But first things first:- Starter: we had three dips with bread. Both the dips and the bread were excellent, especially the cauliflower dip with cress. That would be 5 stars. Then came the main courses:Onion roast with fried potatoes: Saltless and, in addition to the tasty jus, there was unfortunately a lot of fat on the plate. When we asked for more salt, a salt mill was placed on the table, but unfortunately hardly any salt came out of it. This was the worst onion roast I had eaten in recent years.Pork fillets with asparagus: the salt-free theme also ran through here. Unfortunately, the pork fillet was bone dry and the asparagus was more than al dente. The burger: when ordered well done, it was unfortunately rosy on the inside. The taste was very good with a slight hint of smoke4. But here too - especially with the fries - the lack of salt was again an issue. The dessert was a great success for all three of us.The service didn't seem to be the least bit interested in getting feedback as to why it didn't taste good.Starters and dessert were worth the money, but the main courses would still be unacceptable for half the hefty price. But since no one was interested in that, we definitely won't be coming here anymore.
