Actually, further comments are unnecessary, as it should be clear to everyone what to expect with three Michelin stars. It's not good, not even very good - it's simply world-class perfection. An exceptionally coordinated variety of flavors in every respect, one could also speak of an explosion of flavors. Five courses with three amuse-bouches at the beginning and two at the end can be enough, although even the maximum program with six courses plus cheese can be achieved.The price is more than reasonable.About the hotel: very tastefully furnished, quiet and comfortable rooms with a rich breakfast. What more could you want?Regarding the entire service: Mr. and Mrs. Schanz Senior organize and accompany everything in a really great and nice atmosphere. The service ladies in the restaurant are, worthy of three stars, perfect, attentive, very friendly and know about every detail.The fact that you are personally farewelled by the boss at the end is extraordinary and more than rounds off the perfect evening.

And a wonderful idea with a wine menu where you can choose between a Mosel wine and an alternative for each glass. Unforgettable evening. And at an extremely reasonable price

We were there for dinner. Mr. Schanz lives up to his 3 stars, great, attentive service, brilliant sommelier. There was excellent non-alcoholic accompaniment for my companion. The only small drawback: due to the small size of the main room, it sometimes seems hectic.

The quality of the food is certainly Michelin-worthy, but three Michelin stars...I dare to question that.The sommelier...I can't say anything wrong about that, but the other staff is not worthy of three stars in my opinion...unfortunately!

The hotel, which is an ideal overnight stay after a meal in the gourmet restaurant, impresses with comfortable rooms and functional furnishings as well as a balcony and air conditioning. However, I hit my head on the beam of the four-poster bed at night and you can easily hear the busy street if you're not used to it. The breakfast in the basement of the house is extensive. I find the room price to be too high compared to the other hotels in the area.

That was another unforgettable evening at Thomas Schanz's in Piesport on the Moselle. Every course was an absolute taste explosion. Simply incredible. Aleks, Sommelier of the Year 2023, made the evening perfect with his excellent wine recommendations, as did the highly motivated team.

We chose the exciting 6-course menu, which was not overly priced considering the amount of effort and top level, and we were really thrilled! Of course, all 2 and especially 3 star restaurants have top products. But beyond that, it is Schanz's unusual and very delicate taste combinations that are absolutely convincing. The exceptional level offered is kept professionally, from the greetings from the kitchen to the overture to the perfect dessert to round it off. Very varied wine accompaniment, each with a selection of two local wines and top international wines. High attention to service and a chic, pleasantly minimalist interior complete the wonderful impression.
