We ate there with 9 people - the food was good and came quickly, but unfortunately the landlord has a strange manner. He was rather unsympathetic and unapproachable. After everyone had paid individually, there was one Coke left over... instead of being relaxed and saying, hey, it's on the house, he opened a keg. We won't go there anymore. For me, it's not just the food that counts, but also the way you treat it.

We've eaten there a few times and are always impressed. The food is very tasty and the service is great. What I was particularly pleased about this time was the selection of gluten-free dishes. Almost all sauces are gluten-free, there are gluten-free schnitzel and gluten-free spinach dumplings. The chef has a few gluten-free options on offer since his partner eats gluten-free. It's best to ask/let us know when reserving. Great recommendation!

Food and surroundings great, can't say anything. But anyone who thinks they can survive in the restaurant industry these days with such an unfriendly attitude is mistaken. Above all, complaining about the guests, even though the reservation at the restaurant was lost...

Excellent restaurant with regional cuisine. Unusual dishes with a large selection. Of course, individual wishes beyond the menu can also be fulfilled. Rustic, cozy atmosphere and very friendly service. Nice outside area. Great destination for hikers, cyclists and excursions. We regularly and always enjoy being in the Laubacher Forest.

Wonderful!! A pearl for every traveler. Great cuisine, super nice hosts, rooms completely ok and the breakfast is also fine. No overnight stay, just dinner guests! Unfriendly, listless welcome from the host, no interest in whether you feel comfortable. Leek schnitzel ok! Fried potatoes are not what you imagine by fried potatoes. Without side salad 17 euros! 2 euros too expensive! Kellerbier 0.3 3.20 euros! In the Franconian countryside you pay 3.90 euros for 0.5 liters! The Hessian innkeepers have become greedy and jumped on the bandwagon of increasing prices. Many will get their receipt! ....and in a restaurant like this you should also wipe the dust off the chairs and seating areas!

Excellent Hessian cuisine and great hosts. Nice hotel rooms, location right in the forest. Gladly again and again at any time.Still our favorite in 2023.Superb Hessian cuisine with always a game dish, as the host has good contact with the local hunters. In general, local products are preferred.In summer you can sit well in the beer garden. There are Licher and Benedictine Weizen, very good cider and selected wines.

I was in Laubach for the Blues, Schmus, Applesauce Festival. For a night. I had room 19. The room was on the 2nd floor. Accessible via a “chicken ladder”. The only positive thing was the bed. I slept well. Otherwise, I have rarely had such a loveless room. The TV is in the closet. It's OK so far. If only it had worked. No picture on the wall. Bare walls. The only "luxury" was the bottle of water. I am not demanding. But beautiful is different. The landlord is friendly and enthusiastic. I had the impression that he was a bit overwhelmed. The breakfast was ok. The coffee is delicious.

It used to be really good, but now I've been turned away 4 times because I didn't pre-order. Today I wanted to pre-order and was simply pushed away at 1 p.m. That's no way to deal with customers
