Wonderful place, though a bit harder to get to than anticipated with our young kids, ages 6,4,2. We parked at the wanderparkplatz and followed signs - which were present but a little vague. At one point the path forked three ways and the signs just pointed to the fork .5km away, and the way we went ended up going quite a bit around the restaurant (which we suspected at the time but confirmed it when we left and went the right way). When it forks 3 ways, take the middle route. The right sided path is a more gradual incline and stroller friendly for a longer distance but either way it gets a bit bumpy for a stroller. We wore the 2 and 4yos most of the way there and the 6yo walked but combined quite a bit towards the end. It took between 30-45 minutes to get there going at my 6yo’s pace. The way back the older two walked without complaint the whole way. There are several benches along the way and it’s well shaded. As for the restaurant, the food options are extensive yet limited to lover, worst, bread and cheese. I was thankful I brought snacks for my kids because they wouldn’t eat any of it. The drink menu was good for us adults though! The bathrooms were clean and spacious and the staff was very friendly. There were plenty of tables inside and out, even with the large crowd there on this august Saturday afternoon. The view was quite impressive and there was a sign pointing out distant landmarks. The playground was quite impressive - rope climbing course, insanely fast steep metal slide that we somehow almost overlooked, a small trampoline, swings, two little caves made of large rocks, and what looks like a water feature but for sand only as I couldn’t find a water faucet. Our kids had a BLAST on the slide for 30+ minutes doing only that. I wish there was better signage and would have been nice to be able to bring the stroller but overall a great beautiful walk and enjoyable time at the restaurant and playground. Highly recommend!
