Fantastic family friendly hotel. Incredible views, great facilities if you get a quiet week / can book your treatments well before you turn up , excellent wine, good food albeit strong leaning towards lots of red meat… the vegetarian food was nice, but could be more flavourful. We all felt looked after and the staff were so kind about kids making noise, which helped us relax from the moment we arrived. The dining room chairs were too heavy; we managed to smash a plate and a glass trying to manipulate them; there were parts of the decors that might benefit from modernisation, but it was so clean and well maintained that you couldn’t complain.Would come back here and bring parents as think all ages would enjoy it. Tennis was cheap to book a whole court for an hour, local paddle boarding was great fun.The evening entertainment is sparse for those not retiring early with young children.I met the best masseuse ever at their spa, Mara, who was incredibly informative and went above and beyond to help me and advise on exercises for when I got home. I would return but appreciate we went in non-peak season, which probably made the pool and the facilities feel quite private to us at times.A good place to be especially with kids! Room was lovely - the only change I’d make is the pillows - they are too flat / you need about 3 more!

We have stayed in the Vier Jahreszeiten in Schluchsee for probably the last seven or eight years. It’s only about a 90-minute drive from our home in Switzerland and it feels like a home away from home in many ways. …

Elegant established hotel - 5min drive to seafront, no sea view from hotel. No air conditioning, carpets everywhere but at least good beds and very clean!!!! . Breakfast very good included prosecco and smoked salmon. …

Good, but uneven experience for one week here. Rooms had great view. Food, given the cost, was quite good, but no variety at breakfast. The service was at times very good and at times poor. (Eg, asking for a postcard being asked one euro after paying thousands for the stay)

There just wasn't much for adults to do. The pools were always swarming with kids, spa treatments had to be booked days in advance, there was no concierge or maps/brochures for local activities. This ended up being a DIY holiday at an all-in-one-package price.

“Vier Jahreszeiten”or four seasons - we visited this house in late February, which can be described as late winter. We don’t regret it. …

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a disappointing experience. The breakfast was good, but the overall vibe was very outdated, reminiscent of the 70s. Unfortunately, the evening dinner options also left much to be desired. Evenings also lacked entertainment, and the absence of activities made it quite dull. The wellness area was far from relaxing with an excess of noisy children, the water was cold, and the bubbles didn't last long in the jacuzzi and hot tub. The sauna area was also very small. Despite the advertisement of many different massage options, when it came to booking a massage they were very limited, and my pre-booked massage was even canceled on the day.To make matters worse, the numerous extra expenses incurred throughout the stay were frustrating.Overall, the quality fell very short of justifying the high price tag. I would not recommend staying here.

This is a huge family-oriented and wellness oriented hotel. It is a bit outdated and feels like the 70’s are still here but the room was clean and bed was comfortable.Breakfast was great with various options. The dinner buffet was disappointing though. It seems the staff barely speaks English and is less welcoming than usual (maybe because we don’t speak German).Also- you would expect that a family and wellness hotel would have a designated area for smokers and not allow it everywhere (Next to the pool). The hotel is located in a great region with many nature attractions nearby.
