We regularly go there with a larger group in the fall. We can always rely on friendly staff, a good, sufficient breakfast and a super warm and delicious dinner. The rooms are functional. WiFi is available free of charge.

In addition to very tasty food and super nice staff, the location on the Ith is phenomenal! Rooms are really reasonable for the price. There is also a sports room with a table tennis table and a crochet table.

I can highly recommend the Naturfreundehaus in Lauenstein. The food is very tasty. Many thanks to the chef and his team. The location is great, you could see the northern lights due to the remoteness. There are also a few offers to have fun in the evenings. You can play table tennis as an example. There is also an outdoor playground for families. Many thanks again to the chef for the delicious food.

We have been coming to the Naturfreundehaus Lauenstein for many years to experience a wonderful week on the Ith with our air sports club. The Naturfreundehaus is in a quiet location and can still be easily reached using various means of transport. In addition to a free group room (subject to availability), spacious rooms, there is excellent food. As always, the chef Gino and his team really worked hard and the food was simply incredibly delicious. I can only strongly recommend the Naturfreundehaus Lauenstein, even in 4-5 star hotels there is not as good food as here. Thank you for allowing us to be guests again!

This was the second time I camped here with the choir boys this year. Great food and friendly chefs. The food is more like glamping.I'm already looking forward to next year.

For 15 years now I have been traveling to Lauenstein with the Uetersen choir boys to set up camp with our group on the Naturfreundehaus campsite. The campsite is great, the kitchen is great and we look forward to these two weeks every year. Thank you!

I've been camping here regularly every year for the past 5 years and I won't change that in the next few years. Excellent food, super friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. We recommend!

We were in the Naturfreundehaus with a large group. The organization and support went well.The food was very tasty. There are lots of fresh things and in sufficient quantities.We'd love to come back!

Location is ok, that's about it. The room was not clean and there were leftovers from the landlord in the beds. Food was also unclean.

Class from a vocational school was on site from October 31st to November 3rd, 2023.Extremely poor quality rooms, not even comparable to the youth hostel.The food. What does the chef do for a living?Poor quality, there were only a few rolls available, otherwise there was only bread.We were told that the meat there was Helal (permissible for Muslims). After the visit it was discovered that this was not the case. So we ate meat that is religiously forbidden.Beautiful surroundings in terms of nature.

Highly recommended,This enjoyable reservoir with great views and excellent food.Of course, for breakfast there was only bread, some cold cuts and no fruit.The toilet was also very nice...One was broken and the other was completely covered in certain substances.The beautifully furnished rooms in prison design were very nice except for the beds that were almost falling apart 👍

Rooms look run down. Toilet and shower dirty. Some of the beds are broken. Rooms look like they're in a prison. Not recommended!!!

I don't understand the 5* for some. I was there last week with a large group of women. Some had booked rooms, others (like me) were at the campsite. Of course, the location is really nice, but2 nights in a tent without electricity etc. with food is pretty sporty at 68; If the food had been somewhat okay, then it would be ok. But Fridays are always "vegetable from the can water soup day" (a colleague of mine was there a few weeks ago and they had exactly this soup) Not to mention the mayonnaise-soaked bucket salad... Sure, everything has become more expensive, but the " “Cook” should perhaps think about “back to the stove and cooking for yourself”. You can also cook well and cheaply yourself and not put all that crap out there. It's a real shame, the Naturfreundhaus really deserves something better

We won't be coming back.The location is very good, nice terrain.Unfortunately, the rooms are getting old and the manager is unfriendly. He deviates from telephone information and refers to his general terms and conditions. Too badWe should also pay €1.50 a cup to use coffee cups for our own coffee. He doesn't even have vending machines for it.

Not recommended for adults. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right here.Just under €80 for one night in a double room including breakfast is already within the hotel price range.For this price the following points bothered me:- Checkout before 8:30 a.m. (Breakfast: 8:30-9:20)- Shared bathroom in the hallway- The room cannot be darkened- No room service (it's not a hotel either)- Minimalist breakfast (e.g. no fruit)At least the room was clean and there was warm water for showering.
