Beautifully located alp. Rustic charm, cold beer and delicious Joha water. The bacon and cheese breads were amazing. At first the price seemed high, but what you got was sensational. Super tasty, very filling and also great for the eyes.

The Alpe is in the most beautiful location in a small high valley. You should definitely try the homemade cheese. Much of this hut looks like it did hundreds of years ago and that is what makes it so original.

We have been to the Allgäu several times, ideally suited for a wonderful holiday. In 2008 we hiked uphill to Willersalp. When we arrived at the top pretty exhausted, we enjoyed the view and were just happy. What a beautiful piece of earth. The Alpe is rustic, just like it was years ago. You can imagine how generations have lived and worked up here and have the greatest respect for all the effort put into managing the Alps. Even now everything is carried up (by people and animals) to prepare a small meal for the guests. One should appreciate getting a delicious cheese bread, soup and drinks. The operators work there and will not constantly change their website.By the way, when I hike, I always have drinks and at least an apple with me.We like to remember the hike, the Willersalp and the beautiful Hintersteiner Valley. In 2023 we rode our bikes (e-bikes🤭😉) to the gabled house.I don't think we'll be able to walk up to Willersalp again. A pity.

On October 4th we hiked to the Alpe in beautiful autumn weather. In anticipation of a snack, we had enough to drink, but no provisions in our backpack. After the strenuous climb we were really hungry. On the last few meters before the Alpe, hikers came towards us and, visibly annoyed, let us know that the Alpe was closed. After a short rest, we descended again with growling stomachs and maximum frustration. On the Alpe's website you can read that it is open until October 12th. At the entrance to the hiking trail there is a Willersalpe sign indicating the walking time. There was no mention of the closure there either.Apart from the beautiful scenery, very disappointing and poorly organized!
