The farm is an absolute dream for children. We had a great time with Frank and Hanna. They were very helpful and accommodated us even though they were actually fully booked. The yard is very well maintained, with great play opportunities. The children were allowed to move freely everywhere and even help with feeding the animals. We will definitely come back. Thank you for the great time and the warm welcome!

Very nice, cozy farm in a fantastic location. The focus is on dairy cows and bulls. We were warmly welcomed and there is a cute, tiny farm shop that is open 24 hours a day and where you can get fresh bread rolls in the morning. It was also nice that we were able to easily park our van in the yard next to the cowshed. What I didn't like was the loud milking system that ran all night long and clearly disturbed the silence of nature, as well as the really steep overnight price of 30€/night for a completely autonomous parking space without any infrastructure (i.e. without water, electricity, shower or toilet). In the walking area, €10 is more common. Of course we knew that beforehand 😉.

It was a great holiday, great farm, farmers were very helpful and so welcoming, the farm animals were cared for and fed (I always think it's important that they're doing well). We will definitely come back and can only recommend this farm. Really great. We thank you for everything.

We have already been there 3 times and the 4th time is already booked! The entire Schauerte family is very nice and helpful. We always really enjoy the time, it's an incredibly great experience for everyone without electricity, because things like the children's cell phones, tablets and electronic toys become a minor matter. It slows down incredibly and that feels so good! The location and the view are great. The weather is irrelevant, the children are always busy at Hof Keppel. The highlight of every stay is the convivial pizza evening, feeding the animals and ringing the bell. Our children love all of these things. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing 😊

Very family friendly and accommodating! Living without electricity is an experience! Fortunately, you still don't have to miss out on a warm shower... nothing was missing and we'll be happy to come back.

We are really excited about this place and the hospitality of the Schauerte family. We didn't miss anything the entire time. Despite the rain, our children had a lot of fun and explored the farm, observed the animals and learned a lot. We'll definitely be back at some point!

Unreserved recommendation from us. The huts are great, the fireplace keeps you comfortably warm even when it's cold outside, there are lots of great activities for small children too and the Schauerte family is very hospitable and friendly!

We had a very nice holiday with the Wiesenbett family Schauerte. We booked breakfast in advance, which was brought fresh to the door every morning, everything was available in abundance and the rolls and bread were always warm in the morning - a real farmer's breakfast. Also recommended is the pizza evening on Saturdays with pizza straight from the wood-burning oven, which is very tasty. Another highlight is the soup, which you prepare yourself under an open fire in the open air. We were there with our 4 children, but we only saw them in the evening because they were out on the farm all day and were able to discover a lot and they still talk about Hof Keppel. There is also a farm shop on site where you can get everything you need at absolutely fair prices. As parents, you can relax in the evening with candlelight and the wood stove when the children are completely exhausted and sleeping. There is no electricity, television, etc. However, we didn't miss it at all.We would be happy to come back and can recommend Hof Keppel to the Schauerte family with 5 stars.Best regards and thank you for the lovely holidayThe Baumann family and the Markus Baumann company The workhorse from Emsdetten

Fantastic stay at Hof Keppel. Enjoying farm life, like Laura Ingalls in a little house on the prairie. We had booked breakfast and the hot tub, wonderful! Arrive fresh, quickly light the wood stove and light candles. Shower has warm water, great! My son helped take care of the animals every day and was even allowed to ride with the farmer in the tractor! Recommended for anyone who wants to disconnect and get back to basics.

The Schauerte family is very nice. We were able to come to them with any questions. The farm is great and the calf barn is a highlight. Directly from the huts you can see meadows with donkeys, Shetland ponies, sheep and cows. Hot tuning is also an experience. The cabins are beautifully and rustically furnished. Plastic is largely avoided in the facility. In the evening with a kerosene lamp and candlelight it is completely quiet. We really enjoyed the weekend and will definitely come back!
