The concept is great. Lots of activities and supplies in one place.Unfortunately, the ravages of time are gnawing everywhere, changing rooms in bathroom cupboards are broken and renovation work is absolutely necessary in the houses. Dampness in the rooms, masonry damp saltpeter.

It could have been so beautiful...It was our first time at Van der Walk in Linstow, but we probably won't go there again. We rented a type A house for 6 days, which was very nice (although you can't look too closely because you'll still see the dirt from the previous tenants).Unfortunately the food was more than disappointing. We booked the accommodation with half board and yes: you didn't starve, but it took a lot of nerves to get a table in the evening. The staff was completely overwhelmed, ordering and receiving drinks easily took 30 minutes. Long queues kept forming at the buffet because there was either no food or no plates left (?! How can something like that happen?). As we all know, you can argue about taste, but the food wasn't really that tasty either. For a family hotel, we wanted more options for the children. Painting a t-shirt and a magic show wasn't much of an offer for a week. We thought Halloween would be really nice there, but unfortunately the hotel didn't do anything for the little ghosts and witches, which was met with incomprehension by all the guests. The day after Halloween a DJ came and started a mini disco at 8 p.m. (!). Why only at 8 p.m.Otherwise, the indoor playground is very nice for the children and the swimming pool is also a highlight for the kids, even if it was far too crowded (but you don't have any other great alternatives).Overall we were very disappointed. Very unfortunate :(

Cleanliness and staff leave a lot to be desiredThis fall was our second visit to the resort after 2022, after we were quite satisfied two years ago. Unfortunately we were very disappointed this time. The large holiday home was handed over to us in a very dirty condition. Lots of dust, leftover food under the beds, completely dirty terrace area. The oven was not screwed to the kitchen and tipped out at the slightest touch. As was the case two years ago, the outdoor area of the swimming pool is permanently closed and is rapidly deteriorating. A sad picture. The service staff is completely overwhelmed and only understands German very poorly, if at all. The waiting times at the plaza and reception were unreasonable, especially with small children. We always had to wait more than half an hour, sometimes more than an hour, for our drink orders to be taken.Unfortunately, the same picture also applies at the reception (check-in, check-out) and the bowling alley. When we reserved a train there for the next day, the waiter freaked out because he couldn't understand the system. That was unpleasant for us as guests.Unfortunately that was our last visit here. We simply didn't feel welcome.
