We had lunch in the restaurant. Thanks to the very nice weather, the “girls” had a lot to do. Despite the stress, they were always friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, many guests without reservations had to be turned away.The food was great, the price was justified.We will definitely recommend you and come back again.All the best until then.

Wonderful location in the middle of the forest, pure peace, simple rooms but very clean, breakfast good, drinks menu well sorted,Very good warm food, staff friendly and helpfulLarge parking spaces, highly recommended for just getting away.

I enjoyed it and the service was friendly. There was also a nice selection of cakes and tarts. I'd love to go there again. I also think it's nice that you can walk easily with a walking aid and that you can order small portions.

Breakfast, lunch, coffee/cake and dinner were perfect! It's always very crowded but food still comes promptly!So be sure to call ahead and make a reservation if possible!Rooms very tidy and completely sufficient!The surrounding area invites you to walk or cycle in the forest!

Good, but still a lot of room for improvement, no good salad in a bowl that is much too small, ready-made vegetables and cheap iceberg lettuce...last year, it was better AND cheaper...

Overnight stay 04/09/05/09/2024Very friendly and familiar staff makes you feel very comfortable. Also excellent cuisine with delicious dishes and all in all at fair prices. For me, the Waldschänke is one of the best ways to relax after a long day at work. Breakfast is small but nice. In any case, this is my first point of contact when I'm traveling in the region on business. Hopefully a short vacation will still work out in September or October.Thank youBest regardsMario J.

It's unbelievable, we've loved going to the Waldschänke for years, but please, what was that today?We wanted to request a date that was two months in the future. We were immediately turned away because no group of 16 people would be accepted on public holidays. After asking whether you could make two tables for eight people, you were brushed off in an equally unfriendly manner. The reason for this would be that a larger group is already registered. Now the question is, if you don't accept a group on public holidays, why is there already someone in it?😂😂😂😂By far the most incredible turn-off I've ever experienced. You can only be glad that you experience it that way on the phone and not as a guest in the restaurant. And goodbye, you'll never see us again. The only thing that annoys me is that I've recommended you for years and you've gotten lots of guests! Won't happen to me again.

The Waldschänke is beautifully located in the forest. The service was quick and friendly. We were very satisfied with the food.The Ochsenkopf is definitely worth a trip! A table reservation is recommended on weekends during peak meal times.
