We had the rooms in the main house. These were clean and ok. A little tired but for the price you can't complain. If I want 5 stars I have to pay for them too. Food was ok too. You get full and you find something every day. Solyanka and salads were very tasty. Environment very nice. Price performance fits, of course you shouldn't expect a hotel for 150€ a night.

The bungalows probably no longer exist in Central Germany, not even in a youth hostel. The dining hall also smells like an old building. The smell of food can't cover that up. The staff is very friendly, helpful and quick. The food is the simplest we have had in a hostel so far. Play equipment in the outdoor area is broken. The rooms in the main building are overcrowded in order to attract schools with cheap prices. Educators also have to share rooms. The program items were fine. What's also not possible is that after the children have checked in their rooms and the bus arrives, there is no longer any toilet available for them. Conclusion: A lot of money has to be invested here and a completely new concept has to be developed so that this facility can become a recommendation again.

School trip with many flaws. Poor quality of food, no support for the leisure activities on offer. Poor description of excursion options and hikes with hidden additional costs. Quality of accommodation and common areas poor. Only the natural, idyllic surroundings deserve positive mention.

Totally great facility in the style of a classic youth hostel. Ideal in the middle of nowhere to switch off. Cell phones became purely cameras.

The rooms in the old bungalows smell extremely musty. Especially the rooms on the north side. Absolutely not recommended for (cross) allergy sufferers. The service is fine and the staff tries hard for the guests. The location is pretty ideal for people who like to go hiking in nature and away from the city.

The food (excluding breakfast) is bad and there are only three small meals per day. The rooms smell and are very small, but only one had mold on it and the rest was free of the stuff. No service & very boring. I would rather be bombed by Obama than spend another day here.

Some bungalows are moldy and the food tastes like it has been warmed up from a can. The forest and lake are beautiful.

After reading the bad reviews here, I definitely have to write our point of view.We, a family of 5 with small children, have been here for the 4th time and would like to come back. It was pointed out from the start that there were few amenities in the bungalows/rooms, but we had no problem with that because everything was clean, intact and functional.The varied breakfast and dinner and the loving service are particularly praiseworthy. You just feel very comfortable and you can relax perfectly in the beautiful surroundings - pure nature

The kids were here with a summer camp provider. The bathrooms need to be done. There were a lot of little things that needed to be repaired. Nevertheless, the kids had fun and had a nice holiday.

A beautiful piece of earth. The country home is very Ostalgian. Here you are transported back to an earlier time, unfortunately also in the canteen. Nice lake nearby.
