Staff very friendly, rooms clean. The reception area was being renovated, which I found very unpleasant. Room furnishings not to my taste

Still a lot to do...You should always evaluate fairly and be objective. The hotel is on the right track but not where it wants to be. There was probably a change of ownership last year. Since then it has been built and renovated.First of all, please praise the friendliness of the staff. But this alone is not enough for five stars.We booked the garden suite for the weekend. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated. Apart from a few small dents and scratches there is nothing to complain about.Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was a bit sparse. You'll get full, but there isn't exactly a lavish selection. The scrambled eggs are dry and the rolls are soft. Unfortunately there are no “highlights”. A standard buffet in a small form for the pensioner audience. BUT still totally OK.The spa area is in the adjacent building and you can see the construction site...The pool, the two saunas and the steam bath were completely OK and easy to use. Also a nice hot tub. But unfortunately the showers don't work properly and the cold pool was empty and dilapidated. So you don't really get any cooling down after the sauna.However, the corridors, the stairwell/staircase and the lobby of the building were very run down or under construction, some had moldy walls and loose electronic cables lying around openly. Rubble and building materials are lying everywhere and blocking the way.Yes, you can use the spa area but... Maybe you should finish renovating it first.You can see or guess that it will be nice, but it's just not finished yet.The main building is also still being built and renovated. You can also see some of the construction sites there. That's ok. But maybe finish one thing at a time.Because at the same time a holiday resort with apartments is being built, working time and money are also flowing into this...The restaurant is also not usable at the moment because the kitchen is still under construction. You have to go about 800m further to a partner hotel to have a hot meal there. Not particularly pleasant for the hotel guests...A small drawback, the reception is not staffed after 8 p.m., there is no bar, as mentioned, no restaurant and no drinks machine or anything similar, the minibar is minimally staffed, no ice cube machine in the hallway. That means later in the evening you'll be left dry.Therefore only four stars, too many construction sites are being processed at the same time. And no attention was paid to a few standard little things that a hotel should have.Step by step, make one building stylish after the other, because the guest can then feel 100% comfortable there.The staff is friendly, but the atmosphere is just not quite right.

The welcome was very warm and friendly. First of all - we were satisfied overall. I would like to highlight the room. It seemed newly renovated, clean, spacious and friendly. Likewise the bathroom. To our surprise, it was even a small suite. However, unfortunately it is by no means allergy friendly. I have an allergic reaction to dust. The duvets and pillows could be cleaned and the mattresses could be fitted with an allergy cover. The bathroom is very attractive, but we think it could use an additional skylight. The garden looks well maintained and offers a great view.The wellness area made a good impression at first glance. Overall everything was nice. The hot tub was very relaxing. The entrance area, however, was a disaster. Pure construction site, disorder, torn wallpaper with visible mold or mildew in places, lamps hanging out. You can clearly see that the renovation work has not yet been completed. The hotel manager, Mr. Braun, really tries to be friendly and accommodating to his guests despite all the shortcomings. Just standing at the reception, a few minutes later you see him serving champagne in the partner hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn't so nice for us there. Despite Mr. Braun's registration, the waiter hardly gave us a glance. We should work on greeting the guests and being friendly. It's okay to wait a bit, we all know about the shortage of staff in the catering sector. But a certain friendliness would have been desirable.Sitting at the table, we waited a full ten minutes to receive at least a menu. But here too, instead of a greeting, we were simply asked: Half board or a la carte? The guests weren't even asked the question of whether we would like something to drink, which is a shame. We decided to try another restaurant. Mr. Braun apologized very politely the next day - thanks again for that. The menu offers good, rustic, predominantly hearty dishes tailored to a country inn.The breakfast buffet is attractively prepared, there is something for every taste. It's just a shame that the orange juice wasn't refilled. A little more attention to detail would have been nice. Why are labels next to the different types of yogurt and not assigned accordingly? I want to see what flavors I can stock up on.Overall it was a relaxing weekend. There is a lot of potential in this project.

The hotel is probably currently being renovated. Hotel manager is very nice. But I have to take care of the hotel more. Dinner upstairs in the restaurant was disastrous. Breakfast is ok, you just have to pay attention to the freshness.

After changing ownership and reopening, definitely worth recommending. We were only guests for one night, but we felt very comfortable and welcome. You can see and feel everywhere that everything is being brought into shape. It was very clean everywhere, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We really liked the spa area. The breakfast is very good and extensive.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel last week. Staff and reception very friendly. Unfortunately, this is rarely experienced. The rooms are very quiet and I was able to sleep wonderfully. Breakfast was plentiful. Had salmon for breakfast for three days 😄I would check in there again anytime if I'm in the area.Best regards

Everything was great, very nice atmosphere and staff, very friendly director.I will always come back.

Location was very nice, rooms were large and had a balcony and breakfast was also great.
