Was very satisfied overall.Got everything as booked. The wellness area is completely sufficient.Everything clean and fine. The sauna may be a bit small in comparison.Breakfast is perfect, there is even a pot of coffee at the table if you want.Dinner also good.I particularly noticed that there are kettles in the rooms, which I think is really good. The entire staff was super nice and friendly.Likewise the director.I left very satisfied and would love to come back.

We are very excited, we booked our anniversary (5 year old) in the Amtheide and had some complications. The hotel owner was very friendly, as were the staff in the Amtheide and in the Fährhaus and they immediately took care of the deficiencies. We got a new room and then moved from room to room. The ferry house is a bit more old-fashioned but looks beautiful both inside and out. Breakfast was very nice and there was a lot to choose from. Dinner was also great. The receptionists, the hotel service staff and the hotel manager were very friendly and accommodating and gave us a wonderful anniversary despite the complications. All in all a wonderful day, great staff and simply recommended. We will definitely book again! I would only wish that there was a TV in the bedroom, but that is a question of your own standards. Despite all that, the short-term stay in the Amtheide was very nice.

The quiet location right on the edge of the forest is great. Very friendly staff, delicious food and a rich breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired round off the “Indian Summer” feel-good program. The cosmetic arrangements were just right for us and very relaxing. We'd love to come back!

The hotel doesn't even begin to correspond to the information in the brochure. The whirlpool is out of service, the restaurant hours are very limited, service - especially the lady at the reception - is unfriendly, difficult to reach and can be rated as poor overall. There is a large construction site in the immediate vicinity. There are only two narrow saunas with a total of only four loungers, although the sauna floor is already covered in dust. An uninviting sight and can hardly be described as a spacious wellness area. The reception also does not provide any information about any leisure activities. You should obtain this from the spa administration. This is hardly a practical and professional answer. An early departure was unavoidable. In addition, there was no service, drinks or cakes outside of restaurant hours. You felt abandoned. From 8 p.m. it was only possible to stay without service in the lobby. Consumer protection has been informed.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. Unbelievable. The service was subpar and an absolute joke; at first we thought we were watching the “Hidden Camera” show. We've never experienced anything like this before. One page is not enough to go into details... In summary: It couldn't be more unprofessional and what's more, the portion of food was extremely small (not even the size of a child's plate) but the prices were completely inflated. THAT should be 4 stars? Never ever. So if you would like an “adventure food vacation”, then you definitely have to visit the Fährhaus. Otherwise: just leave it!!! Every cent is too much.

Stay TWO in ONE - the 1st and the last time!We had booked a “Finally Weekend” package plus 1 extra night and were hoping for an unforgettable stay, as in the rest. announced. We will remember our time in the ferry house for a very long time, but not in the way we expected. The exclusive 4-course menus we had booked became normal HP buffet meals. Welcome cocktail? None! The outside area with the garden made the house appear unkempt.Summary: Completely overrated with 4 stars and a poor price-performance ratio. We cannot recommend the hotel.
