Gasthaus Neue Mühle

Very tasty, very nice, very cozy.Can only be recommended!!!

We had lunch there. Everything was simply great, I can only recommend this restaurant.If you want to eat really well, you should definitely visit this restaurant.

We became aware of the “Neue Mühle” through “My Local - Your Local” and chose our travel route accordingly. It was worth it. An excellent 4-course menu, accompanied by selected wines in a cozy atmosphere.

A dream. We, a couple, were in the Neue Mühle restaurant on October 17th, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. The welcome was very warm and professional from Sandra, who also serves the restaurant with heart, humor and total expertise. Sandra knows every wine on the wine list and can provide great support with the selection, and she also knows all the dishes and side dishes down to the last detail. I had never experienced such emphatic and competent service before. What struck me very positively on the wine list was that many wines from the area (Saale-Unstrut) were offered. Of course, we always prefer to drink something from the surrounding area and were not disappointed by the Silvaner from Siegmund & Klingbeil's fermentation egg, but rather surprised by the freshness and the harmonious overall picture. I chose the Spicy Shrimp appetizer, which had the optimal cooking point and went excellently with the mango, and I think apple. The combination was the best shrimp ever. For the main course I had bison roast beef with chanterelles, this was also perfectly medium rare as ordered, the chanterelles still had an excellent bite, it was just fun and had a great mouthfeel. The beef was of course of the best quality, as were the chanterelles. My wife ate the Wiener Schnitzel, which was also extremely tasty. Finally, share the tonka bean slices with delicious wild berries. The entire cooking was of the highest standard, I can't remember having eaten better. It was also cool that we had already booked a room in the house and were able to end the evening in a relaxed manner. Breakfast the next morning was served by Martin Geleick himself and there was an extremely delicious scrambled egg with bacon and parsley. I wouldn't have thought that you would recognize the master's handwriting even when you're making scrambled eggs, but it was indescribable. The types of cheese, sausage and ham on offer were also great. Unfortunately we had to leave again due to scheduling constraints. But as promised, we will come back and not just once, even though Nuremberg is 2.5 hours away. The first place at My Local, Your Local is more than justified. The personal conversations with Martin and Sandra, who are great hosts, were also very interesting.See you soon!

We were at the new mill on Saturday. I had pre-ordered the table online, which worked wonderfully.My husband had a salad as a starter, which was really fresh and tasty.For the main course I had the Iberico lambs on potato and fried onion mash and kohlrabi. It was a poem... the cheeks were tender as butter, the mashed potatoes had a slight hint of fried onion and the kohlrabi was firm to the bite. The dish was refined with cress, which I found very pleasant as I don't like overly seasoned food.My husband, my son and my mother-in-law had the schnitzel with chanterelles and, if requested, fries. The Schnitzel was tender and would have needed another half a minute for the breading to be crisper. Fries fresh and homemade. When it came to the chanterelles, the adults still had to grind a bit between their teeth, but you probably take that risk if you choose fresh mushrooms.The service was very friendly and attentive.All products were fresh, which is unfortunately reflected in the waiting time. If you have to wait almost an hour and a half for food, that's really borderline... But I would wait for the freshness...All in all it was a very successful evening.
