Heimbach Apartments Lahr

The Heimbach is great. The place is very up-to-date but with rustic details. The location is central to all kinds of shopping and eating. The modern bathroom and kitchen are very nice too.They provided us with a lot of little supplies that other places overlook. Nice white linens. There are a couple of parking spots available as well. Recommended!

Horrible!!!!There is dirt everywhere!!!! Spiders in the wall. Big dustpatches in every corner!!! Under the beds is disgusting… we travel 12 hours and when we came in the bedding isn’t make…. We make our beds for 900€… it’s ridiculous!!!When we lift the mop there is a bunch of dirt… how could this happen???The bedroom wardrobe is really dusty…There is a dirty plate in the kitchen cabinet!?The dishes are left in the dishwasher…Fingerprints on the cabinets and in the kitchen.When we touch the shower, it’s falling apart, and very very dirty… in the bathroom walls there is dirt, definitely not cleaned…And the walls!!!! Very dirty! There is no way that they didn’t notice this. It’s like 30 minutes to repaint these patches…I wonder how they ‘’cleaned’’ the other things…

The maisonette apartment is great for two people, but not recommended for four people because of the slightly sagging sofa and the loudly creaking floorboards. The apartment is very attractively modernized and otherwise leaves nothing to be desired. Top location, clean, central and there is even a well-functioning air conditioning upstairs. What more do you want!

Super clean, beautifully maintained house (apartment 8), everything was as desired! We as a couple experienced no problems. But I can imagine that with a larger group you would want a little more privacy. Water takes a while to get warm, but hey, those are first world problems. The hygiene was really great and so was the overall condition! Really a bang for your buck. Excellent. What was difficult was parking, 2 spaces for 10 apartments. Anyway, a little further on there is a paid parking garage. Which I had to use once, so it's not too bad. What was also difficult was that when it was dark and you came from above, the light switch for downstairs was only located near the extractor hood, so you had to search a bit in the dark.A great experience for us!

Excessive use of fragrance (laundry scent, room scenting, etc.) Therefore not suitable for asthmatics and fragrance allergy sufferers. Fragrance-free bed linen would be desirable, as is standard in hotels today. Otherwise ok and nice apartment.

Unfortunately the apartment was a bit disappointing.We booked two holiday apartments with 5 people (apartment 5 and 8). Holiday apartment 8 is described and rated below. If there was a double bed per apartment, one person had to sleep on a pull-out sofa bed (however, this was known beforehand). It was big enough, but unfortunately the quality wasn't particularly good. With every movement everything squeaks, which can be heard even in the upstairs bedroom. The same applies to the floor. This is very old and makes loud noises. The apartment is divided into two floors, which are connected by a very steep staircase (rather unsuitable for older people). The bedroom is on the upper floor and is unfortunately not separated from the rest of the apartment by a door, which means privacy is lost. The noises are therefore not muffled and arrive very loud in the bedroom. The beds are comfortable and big enough. Unfortunately the wall behind the bed gives off a very strange and unpleasant smell. It is not possible to identify where this comes from. Unfortunately very annoying for sensitive noses.On the upper floor, in addition to the bedroom, there is a shower and a bathtub with a sink. Unfortunately, a toilet can only be found downstairs (kitchen, living and dining room). Not very nice for going to the toilet at night. The water pressure in the shower and bathtub is virtually non-existent. You have to wait a long time for warm water and when it comes, very little comes out of the shower (also applies to apartment 5). The showerhead holder in the shower is at waist height and there is no one above the head. You therefore have to hold it yourself when showering. So a bit complicated. The showerhead in the bathtub kept going off, which was a bit annoying.Unfortunately, the descriptions/pictures on the booking page do not correspond 100% with the inventory found or were not up to date. The “quiet location” described cannot be found either. Sleeping was only possible with the window closed. Constantly cars with engines roaring and loud conversations coming from the alleys.Parking was OK. There are two parking spaces behind the house. Of course you have to be lucky to get hold of 8 apartments. If you're not lucky, there's an inexpensive parking garage within a 5-minute walk.In general, the apartment is very centrally located and numerous restaurants and shops are just a few hundred meters away.Conclusion: Due to the poor sleeping situations and sanitary conditions, we unfortunately cannot recommend the apartment if you value it like we do. However, if that's not a problem for you, the apartments are OK.

Concerns Apartment 8, Lahr:The truth behind arranged images and a beautiful website:Unfortunately, I have to agree with many previous speakers about the Heimbach Appartments in Lahr. Expectations shouldn't be too high, you'll be disappointed.Biggest problem is the handrail on the steep staircase (very short steps) to the attic (bathroom/bedroom). This was no longer anchored in the wall at the top, but loose! The Spax screw placed there was hanging out of the wall. A safety defect that needs to be remedied immediately before accidents occur!In the toilet, among other things, the toilet roll holder was defective (the grub screw was missing and fell off the wall), and the toilet seat clearly showed signs of wear (urine marks/toilet cleaner). In addition, water appeared to be coming out of the pipe at the sink for a long time.The hot water pressure felt non-existent. It was surprising that any came out of the line at all.There were stains and animal hair (from the previous tenant) on the upholstery of the sofa bed and armchairs. The sofa itself has already seen its best days.Overall, an absolutely sad appearance. The question arises as to how such defects can be overlooked by cleaners and entrepreneurs?! Or is it ultimately just about maximizing profits? This critical question must be allowed at this point.There was no response to our complaint (including pictures) to the landlord.A recommendation for other guests definitely cannot be made here.

Never again. Very little comfort (painful chairs, hard bed, broken couch) and no contact possible with staff. Electrical socket fell out of the wall. There were no curtains. Water pressure and temperature of the shower were poor. Dirty dishes. We only had two small pans for cooking. We went home 3 days early. Complaints are not responded to and therefore no refund is possible.

And less than 24 hours before arrival we were informed that the apartment was not suitable for 5 people. The booking was made in mid-November and was also confirmed.This morning we were given the option to cancel ourselves and get the money back or the provider of the holiday apartment canceled and kept the money. An alternative to accommodate us differently was not offered. The provider also showed no insight into the error on his part. He simply said he doesn't control all the bookings. Today it is impossible to find suitable housing for all of us. We had imagined the weekend differently. We would have to cancel the appointment we made on site because we have a total travel time of 6 hours.We cannot evaluate the apartment itself, but we can evaluate the contact with the provider and its non-customer-oriented approach. We didn't even receive a credible and sincere apology. Except a “Sorry”
