Unfortunately, you can no longer sleep well in this guesthouse. A lot of things are broken and are not repaired and cleanliness is far away. Actually, it's a shame. Luckily there is a good guesthouse in Frankenthal in the immediate vicinity.

Reviews from 10 years ago are no longer relevant. The good times of this guesthouse are over. Reviews for room 7: the shower drains poorly because the spout is full of hair (disgusting), the ceiling lamp is broken, the bed sheet is stained, the bed creaks, the TV remote control is broken and completely unusable, none Channel selection possible. Multiple call attempts get stuck in the mailbox and there is no response. Nobody cares. No service. Even for €30 you can expect cleanliness, hygiene and functioning equipment. So conclusion: this domicile is definitely not recommended... one star is still too many. This rating will probably make little impression on the operator, because in his opinion the condition seems to be good enough for foreign citizens.

What the cleaning staff does to the guests is a complete disgrace. But probably the staff is not trained in dealing with guests, or that is part of the service.I can only recommend guests in Gera to avoid this inn.

We went there for dinner for the first time yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The portions are plentiful. The price is definitely right (between 5 and 9.50 euros). The food also came quickly and at the same time for us, even though we had all ordered different dishes.When we were looking for a place with overnight accommodation, we were shown the rooms. Here too, the ratio between price and performance is right (double room including breakfast for €47). We have made a reservation for a weekend in winter and are looking forward to an undisturbed family celebration where we can talk, laugh and dance. We wish the very friendly innkeepers many more guests.

The first problems occurred when checking in. There was no one in the house just a sign in the door saying "please ring the bell" after ringing several times no one opened the door.When I called the hotel number I was directed to the neighbor and then given my key.However, there was no front door key - it was open and freely accessible all night long!The room was quite small, there was no space to put a travel bag properly.At least it was clean upon arrival.However, there was no housekeeping on site, neither the bathroom was cleaned nor my trash can was emptied (nice thing when you throw away a banana peel or a smelly can of sausage at 20°C-30°C), the bed wasn't made and my towels weren't made either not exchanged. In short: no one was in this room.In my opinion it doesn't deserve the title of hotel.Apparently no one had an overview of the bookings. On the way to work I was asked where I had left the key and another night was booked.The worst hotel I've stayed in so far.I'm happy to finally be leaving.

Well equipped and very comfortable.Unfortunately, the sporadically open restaurant with its outdoor seating is very annoying on some evenings. Otherwise highly recommended.
