As soon as you arrive, you can see the hotel's lovingly maintained front garden. Parking is free. At the reception you are greeted by an older, very friendly lady. Without having to ask, she already informed me that the invoice for the company would be ready for check-out tomorrow. There is a Lidl supermarket, a kebab shop and a sushi/Asian restaurant within a 3-minute walk. Dinner can be taken to your room and dishes are also provided for this purpose.The interior is in an antique and traditional style. The rooms are individually designed and furnished with antique furniture, creating a cozy and classic atmosphere. The hotel attaches great importance to a welcoming and charming ambience that fits well into the quiet surroundings.The breakfast is really good and the price is just €7.50.In the room there is a TV, also with private channels, and a card with the WiFi password. The room was very clean, down to the smallest corner! The bathroom was also very clean.The service is really very warm. My impression is that the hotel is family run. It's nice to know that you will be well received after a long day at work on a business trip. It is also very quiet, so you can sleep well. That's why I'm happy to come back.

I have been a guest at the Hotel Barmstedter Hof for the umpteenth time. I actually really like the hotel. It's quiet, has nice, clean rooms with wide beds. The only thing I don't like is the sometimes rude unfriendliness of the women at reception. If you don't leave your room on time at 10:30 a.m. you will be knocked on the door until the doctor arrives and threatened with having to pay the cleaning staff for overtime because they only work until 11:00 a.m. Breakfast times also change depending on your mood, the website says until 10 a.m., but this time it supposedly ended at 9:30 a.m. I think there is a lack of respect for the customer here!

I don't understand some of the reviews here. Was now there for 2 nights with my family and despite the older furniture (which is also a matter of taste) it was a really good hotel. We received a very friendly welcome, the breakfast was very tasty and varied, our room was very clean and furnished according to hotel standards. And we don't need to talk about the price. The hotel is run by 2 older ladies who were super sweet to us and our little daughter. They also tried to help us how best to go home. We already miss the nice conversations we had with the ladies Be honest with the people out there, be more open and friendly to the hotel operators and then the vacation will be fine.All respect to the ladies of the hotel from the Spreewald visitors 😊😊😊
