Modern comfort with a rustic, beautiful look.Visiting from the US, we were greeted with a warm welcome and had wonderful conversations with the owner. It was refreshing staying in the country side and away from the city. With multiple rooms, we stayed in Devon room. It was clean, cozy, warm, and had a small kitchenette available for use with other small appliances such as a coffee maker, water boiler, some supplies such as silverware, cups, plates, pots, pans, and a small stove with an oven. There is wifi available when you stay and a television with various streaming channels to enjoy. The breakfast was much more filling than expected and set us up for a great day every morning. With a combination of several types of meats and cheeses varying from salami and prosciutto to a small sample of a Capri salad (Mozzarella ball with half a tomato and a hint of basil) to cheddar and slices of Brie. It was accompanied with your choice of tea or coffee or both if you'd like. There were several tasty jams for your loaf of wheat or regular such as strawberry, peach, blueberry/grape (I believe), and a very tasty honey (definitly my favorite). Other items that came with this tasteful breakfast was a small fruit bowl with different sliced fresh fruits, most likely consists of what is in season, in our case it was diced peaches, blueberries, strawberries, melon one 1 morning and cantaloupe on the 2nd. There was granola and cereal as well on the side to add a nice crunch and extra fiber to your meal. A boiled egg, straight from the chickens, you truly cannot get any fresher than that. I myself have experimented and attempted several times to make a runny yolk boiled egg, but I have finially recieved the oppurtunity to taste one here at this meal and it was absolutly amazing (I love runny yolk eggs, specially boiled). It was so elegantly set up, that I hope to bring the this set up back with me to replicate it in my home.Unlike the American breakfast which leaves you with a feeling of a "heavy full"-at times uncomfortably full-and a greasey taste at the end this meal was tasteful and at the end of the meal with bite of fruit, it not only cleaned our palette, but we left with a refreshing feeling ready for the day. Not too full, and not hungry. Just right, and ready for anything.Being from the US, I thought I was prepared becuase I had brought a converter plug to use, bu turns out I needed some form of extension. The owner (Mark) was kind enough to bring me a converter that would work with my hair straighter and our phone chargers. He truly does his best to help his guest stay as comfortable as possible and I truly do appreciate it.I absolutly saved this spot under my "favorites" here in Germany and plan to suggest this stay to anyone I know that plans to be in the area. If you are considering to stay here, I highly recommend that you do. You won't be disappointed.
