Big loveless campsite. Incomprehensible that the sanitary facilities are advertised because they are, in fact, downright filthy. The grounds could also use maintenance and cleaning: several water taps are faulty and there is junk everywhere on the grounds. I even found a condom on a through path. Obnoxious are the passive-aggressive A-4s hung here and there. I would say, set a good example yourself and start cleaning the facilities regularly. The campsite is noisy due to adjacent shipyards etc, several roosters and a church bell that starts ringing as early as six in the morning.

If think you wouldn't enjoy a Europop Disco with a screeching DJ blaring out at high volume in the middle of the site until 2230 don't stay here. I've been to quieter festivals. This is not a peaceful site. Shame. The facilities, staff, pitches etc otherwise are good. Wouldn't stay there again.

Stayed for 3 nights with motorhome. Photos quite misleading as many are nearby Colmar. One receptionist who spoke good English was brilliant, the other, who only spoke German and French was unhelpful. Pitches quite small and unkempt. toilets very good. Nice walk over bridge on rhine to Germany, but on way out, spotted an Aire which was very popular. Will be using that next time.

We stayed there the first week of August 2016 in a mobil home. We recommend the campsite mainly because of its unique location on an island in the Rhine and the Canal d'Alsace from where many nice trips can be made to Freiburg, Schwarzwald, …

What has happened to this campsite on the Ile du Rhin? Years ago the family stayed here two years running when the children were small. Then it was a municipal campsite cheap and cheerful, basic facilities, but always full to capacity.  …

Great position in the middle of a river felt like we were miles away from civilisation. But no only a short walk to a bakers a pub and a small village with everything anyone could wish for. …

The place would be nice but they didn't maintain the area. All the flowers and bushes were still old and ugly. Even though for this Easter the place was completely full, they didn't open all the toilet houses. The pictures were looking much nice than it is and definitely not a 2 Star Camping. There are nicer campings without even a Star.

The management here have managed to produce a woeful campsite from such a stunning location between the Rhine and the Grand Canal d'Alsace. …

Outstanding help to 6 bikers passing through for 1 night, quiet site just out of season, easy walking distance to pubs and restaurants, and easy access to Black Forest for good riding. Highly recommend, partic the friendly help we received upon arrival - nothing was too much trouble

During our stay in the Easter holidays, only one toilet building was opened. Warm water was not available, forcing us to take cold showers. Besides, the buildings were not heated. Notification solely led to poor excusions.Greenkeeping took place during workingdays, entailing annoying noise of several 2-stroke garden tools nearly all over the day, accompanied by smelly exhaust fumes.Several complaints during our stay were neglected or rejected. This camping space will definetly not see us again...
