Lovely place to stay on our road trip, with very friendly hosts! They had a vegan option (spiced chinese-style rice and veggies) in the restaurant - we ate on the tables outside and had a nice beer from the garden bar. Lovely breakfast as well - the jam was homemade.

BEAUTIFUL location. Middle of the German countryside in a small valley next to a creek. Rooms are simple but very nicely updated - particularly pleased with the great shower. TVs have Netflix. Dinner was quite nice - bitburger on draft. Trout from their own fish farm. Breakfast was great - croissants were amazing along with delicious meats and cheeses. Hosts (owners?) were very pleasant and spoke English quite well - saving me from stumbling through any German I’ve long forgotten. We’d love to come back to walk some of the trails we heard about and saw. Till next time.

Fantastic place in the middle of the forest with super friendly owners. Stayed in the big newly renovated appartment, two adults and two children (3 and 5). Plenty of room and fully functional kitchen. The kids really enjoyed the animals (sheep, fish, geese, chickens and occasionally horses) and it was a huge experience for them to catch a fish! Also great food (you have to try the fish) which was available every day for guests of the hotel. We will for sure come back.

We were there at the weekend to go on a few hikes in the area. The country inn is beautifully hidden in the landscape, but is still easy to find and easily accessible by car. Highly recommended as a base for hikes or just to relax. The innkeepers are always available and there for their guests. Breakfast buffet is very good, in the evening there was a grill (trout, steaks, sausages, potatoes and vegetables). Simply delicious!All in all: Highly recommended.

Really great!!! Received with love, enjoyed a truly delicious meal, very hospitable couple who really wanted to pamper you. An oasis of peace, friendliness and hospitality. Super clean rooms, freshly caught trout, fantastically prepared by the chef, highly recommended!!!!

What a great hotel with great service. We arrived on time and that was no problem, the rooms are great and the bathroom is beautiful and what a wonderful shower. Dinner was really delicious, highly recommended and breakfast was also good with lots of choice. Our conclusion: a top hotel with incredibly hospitable owners, from us a big 10.

We were there to fish. Looks very nice in the pictures. There are lots of cobwebs outside the window. We told the landlady that we were going fishing. And were given a saying: Well then I'm curious to see if you catch something. This saying was so funny that we knew it wouldn't work. But then you should say up front that you hardly ever catch anything here. After dinner, both of us and even the two dogs got diarrhea. And left very early in the morning. We had problems all weekend. It tasted very tasty but apparently something was wrong. The following week we wanted to go again with the child. Had everything booked before the experience. We then canceled and the landlord even wanted to refund part of the money and hasn't done so to this day. Too bad. But unfortunately not like in the pictures.

Beautiful location, hospitable people, nice spacious rooms with good shower and beds. We ate delicious fresh trout from the owner and the boar was also very tasty grilled on charcoal. Highly recommended!!!The Ehrbackklamm is close by, great walks!
