Great place great location. The only issue I had was only one water tap up by reception or in the one toilet block for the entire site. Which in my opinion is not good enough as if there were a fire by the time you ran half a mile to fetch water the fire would already be to late.

Firstly, the area was great. First time staying around ammersee and I liked it. We hired electric bikes from the campsite and went all the way around, stopping for drinks/lunch at the various cafe etc. Can hire keel boats from near site and launch your own kayaks, SUP. Restaurant on site has fine, if limited menu. Staff and people in general extremely friendly. So why not 5 stars?. Only reason is we had a hardstanding pitch right near the lake, but it could have done with some serious weedkilling. Also facilities, including water are probably 200m away - too far. Why not lay a pipe down to that end of the site?

The camping is ok, with all the necessary facilities, and well organized. The staff is professional and helpful. Landscape is pristine, but the the people in the region are extremely unfriendly and make you feel you are not welcome if you are not ultra rich.Maybe makes sense to have a stop on the way, for a coffee break, but not recommended if you don't have a Porsche in garage. Sorry to say that. Plus, don't try to think "out of the box", we tried to sail out sailing boat... There is little access to the water, and every land piece is private. No chance to fix a boat to any of their jetty.Summary: there are other places where you can fell better, and not excluded, for the same costs. Again, camping and camping personal is ok.😉

Myself and 2 friends visited on motorcycles on a European tour. Our welcome was extremely friendly and although we only stayed for one night, the camp site was very good. Clean warm showers, toilets and washrooms. The onsite restaurant does nice food and cold beers and the views across the lake towards the Alps are stunning.

Lovely location. However utterly disappointed with noise. During the two days we were there a group of about 20 goth style people had their music on for almost a full 48 hours. That night they were loud up to after midnight despite a 10pm quiet embargo. The Second day I asked at reception if they could ask them to be quiet. This partially worked but was offset against the new group of roughly 20 what can only be described inbred middle Aged self styled degenerates with the sense of self entitlement that had them screaming shouting and laughing up to 3am. Shockingly bad management of a site that does not enforce their rules. I should add, the one rule they are exceptional at is having your car towed if you park inside the site. I had not Moved my car outside before 19:30 and they were making public announcements and about to stick a towing sticker on the window. Would be great if they were so efficient at enforcing the other rules they have posted up.

I discovered this place by pure chance, looking for something nice that was out of standard tourists routes. What a beautiful and friendly place! I loved any minutes here! Even though being the only non-German I felt a bit of a legal alien.

You cannot park car on camping site. At all. You need to find parking space somewhere in near fields.
