Very nice hotel with a modern look. The staff is super friendly and everyone I talked to while in Simmern was very polite, friendly and helpful. This is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries. I would recommend the Moxy in Simmern and I will be back again.

I had a horrible experience last night with the guy at the reception. It was 1 am. Our flight was cancelled. The flight company said that a bus was going to take the passengers to 2 hotels near the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist said that there were only a few rooms left and that you have to pay for the room.I was with my 6 year old daughter who was really tired and wanted to sleep, so I decided to stay in the hotel. I went to the reception and the guy there said that I could only pay by card, but I didn't have a card, I could only pay cash. He said it was impossible and if I didn't have a card I had to leave and he showed me the door. I asked if he could make an exception, because it was 1-2 am and I was in the middle of nowhere and it was cold outside. I don't care he said, and opened the door for me to leave. Ok then, I asked him if he could recommend another place to stay or help me book a taxi. NO, he said, it is impossible!!! And he left us outside and closed the door. My daughter was crying all the time, she was cold, hungry, scared...Then I asked someone to make a money transfer to the hotel. I told this receptionist that we will make it this way, and he didn't accept again! And he pushed the door in my face. He was rude, inolite, he was not a human. You do not treat people that way!!!! I am just a tourist in a foreign country and this is not the right way to behave! This is absurd. It never happened to me before, I am really offended and disappointed.

Cruel Treatment, Inhumane Treatment of Guests, Heartless and Unsafe: Stranded in the Night Mother and ChildI feel compelled to warn others about the appalling experience my friend endured at Moxy Simmern. My friend Nejla, an Albanian national, was visiting Germany for the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. Her husband, a physiotherapist for the Albanian national football team, was working at the event, and she was staying in Germany alone with their 6-year-old daughter.They arrived late at night expecting a safe and welcoming environment. Instead, they encountered a nightmare scenario. Due to a technical issue with her payment card, my friend, who is fluent in English and German, explained her situation in perfect English to the hotel staff. Despite clearly communicating and offering to pay in cash or via bank transfer, the staff refused to assist her.What makes this situation even more alarming is that they didn't even allow her and her young daughter to stay in the safety of the hotel lobby while they figured out a solution. Instead, they pointed her towards the door in a cruel and dismissive manner imaginable, leaving them stranded outside in the cold and dark. This kind of heartless behavior is not just unprofessional, it's dangerously negligent and inhumane. This isn't just poor customer service, it's a gross violation of basic human decency. I can’t comprehend what kind of people could treat guests, especially a mother and child, with such disdain.My friend is not only a capable traveler but also someone who could have become a loyal customer. She frequently stays in premium hotels and was more than ready to settle her bill. Her husband’s role with the national football team underscores the significance of their visit. Yet, despite all this, they were treated with utter disregard for their safety and well-being.These explanations are more to explain the situation in detail, but every hotel guest should be received in a human and professional way.Potential guests should be extremely cautious about staying at Moxy Simmern. The hotel’s policies and staff behavior are alarmingly deficient. No guest, especially a mother with a child during such an important event, should ever be subjected to such treatment.I strongly urge Moxy Simmern's management to reconsider their approach to customer service and ensure no one else has to endure such a terrifying experience.

This Hotel has nice linen and very clean but nothing else. No closet, no coffee pot, no refrigerator, place is very small, in the room barely space to walk around, no restaurant or normal meal in the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel very small, but a lot of everything around the hotel and across the street grocery store.

From the moment we arrived customer service was top notch. We felt like guests and not a burden. Once we returned home we realized something was missing. After a month of searching and hoping it would show up we decided to call the hotel. Their records showed that something matching our description was found during our stay period and mailed it to us. We had to cover shipping of course, bit the fact that they held onto our item meant so much.

They are not humans!They left a women with a child outside in the cold, alone, in the middle of the night.Why? Because the card was refused and they didn't accepted cash/bank transfer.Shame on you, this is socially unacceptable!

My wife and I stayed here while visiting family and enjoyed our stay. We are an older couple and the Moxy has a young vibe, but our stay was great. The rooms are adequate at a fair rate and the staff was exceptional.
