Pros:- very quiet, even in high season- big pitches- partially fenced pitches- playground- the staff is helpful- affordable- soap to wash handsCons:- the toilets are a bit old- the fences on the pitches are pretty low so the privacy is limited- there is water in the pitches but you can't get empty liquids there- only cold water to wash dishes- you need coins to shower

Campsite is okay and the staff is friendly. Sadly the toilets smelled like urine, there was mold in the sinks and showers and our neighbours were blasting music the entire day. Besides that, our neighbour treated us to a daily weed stench in the evening.4/10 would not recommend if you are looking for a calm place to stay. It is cheap though, but maybe that just attracts a different kind of people.

I just had a breakdown with a caravan attached to the car. I drove to the parking lot of the campsite to diagnose the problem and possibly carry out temporary repairs. The campers, super friendly, immediately offered help and tools. The operator, Mr. Rehr, wanted to throw me straight out of the parking lot and order a tow service. I stood on the edge. There was still enough space for everyone driving past. It couldn't be more unfriendly! With great difficulty I drove to the nearest dirt road and temporarily repaired my throttle valve there.Originally I wanted to lease a permanent place. However, I was offered a technician position for €245/month. I've never experienced anything like that, not even abroad! The bad recessions seem to be true! Actually not worth a star, unfortunately you can't post without a star.

As a visitor you have to pay 1 euro per entry. Which of course isn't a lot of money, but I expect clean toilets, for example. The playground cannot be called a playground. Apparently you don't want to invest. It is also questionable whether the 1 euro is even taken into account for tax purposes or whether it is simply black money.

I'm used to having different contact with people who want to sell you something. The interaction was very unfriendly. The place is also not very nice. We'll look elsewhere soon.

I think the place itself is beautiful, as is the area; it was always a good place to spend your time growing up. As you can see and also see on Maps, more and more parcels are becoming available and now no one I used to know is there anymore. The operators were always a bit strange. However, I have never been unfriendly to me personally. However, Ms. Rehr's bike inspection rounds were legendary 🤣

Never again!I've never been treated so strangely. I called the reception number and said I would like to stand on the pitch for a night or two. The operator said "yes, um, I have to take a look. Yes, but only because someone canceled. Do you have to wait a moment" and hung up. I was a little unsure whether the connection had been lost, whether she would call back straight away or whether she would be there straight away. She then came a few minutes later and asked "You want to stay two nights?" I replied, “One or two, I don’t know yet.” Then she says “yes, it’s not worth the effort for one night”. I “What a hassle?” You "Well, we're very cheap here..."So let's be honest! I replied that I didn't understand why so much effort was involved and said I'd just look for another place. She then relented and said "that's fine, then we'll do it the way you want. You get what you want. So just one night."Looking back, I'm annoyed that I didn't go straight back and actually stayed there the night! I immediately thought: "If you don't honor the penny, you're not worth the thaler!"About the place:Very desolate, not a single tree (only on the driveway and at the children's playground, which is outside the barrier), hardly any hedges separating the places from each other, you are standing very openly on a pretty bumpy meadow. And even though the operator told me I could only standing there because someone canceled, there were A LOT of places available!Sanitary facilities are very old, but so far clean. So at least one star justifies itself.I felt absolutely uncomfortable and unwelcome there, and even the cheapest price doesn't change that. Then I'm happy to pay more!

A beautifully located campsite on the edge of the Haard, which is very easy to reach on foot. The individual plots are not always flat and smaller biotopes tend to emerge after heavy rainfall. Otherwise, the plots are equipped with a water tap for four places and an electricity connection for each caravan. I cannot say whether the power distributors are checked by certified specialist companies at the legally required intervals according to DGVA3; in any case, I have not found the inspection stickers required for this. Photovoltaic systems, including island systems that do not require a permit, are prohibited on permanent parking spaces. Three washrooms and toilets scattered around the campsite, two of which only have cold water, are easily accessible for all campers. The water from the plots' taps appears to me to be very cloudy after tapping and in my opinion should be boiled before use. There are no shops on the campsite itself and no other services other than gas sales. All in all, it is a highly recommended, nostalgic campsite to relax.Information as of October 20, 2024

We were only on the site for 2 nights in August 23.The pitch is large enough for a caravan, awning and car. The lawn isn't completely flat, but that wasn't a problem. The sanitary facilities are very old and exist several times. But there is a ray of hope: it is being rebuilt and should be finished by the end of 23.Dishes cannot currently be washed. The showers are chargeable. That's why the rating is currently no better.
